I was told by one Dr. that trepiline is very bad for your heart, today I was told my neorologist should never have given me Trepiline together with Azilect 1mg as it is very dangerous. Please tell my why. I have parkinsons and I am a 35 year old female

It is actually the combination of the two that can be dangerous for your heart, as well as a lot of other biological processes, not necessarily either one by itself.

Your neurologist was correct, there are many severe warnings about using these two medications together.

Here is just a partial list about the problems it can cause when they are used together:

tremor, myoclonus, rigidity, diaphoresis, hyperthermia, autonomic instability, hypertensive crises, disseminated intravascular coagulation, severe convulsive seizures, coma, and death.

So yes, there can be very serious consequences and it seems like you were very lucky if you used them with no permanent ill effects.
