T 194 Yellow Pill (Page 7)

Updated

I have a T 194 yellow pill that says it's a percocet 10mg, but when taking it, it made me feel super weird and my chest hurt. Is this a possible side effect?

I have been following this thread since it started and I am still suffering with the complete ineffectiveness of this medication and the horrible side effects and still at a loss for what to do. I have a couple of issues. I am disabled (so I can’t afford to just pay out of pocket), and the RX insurance plan I have is the Walgreens plan, which of course limits me to Walgreens only which only now carries this garbage T194. I also have the narcotics contract that says I can only use the pharmacy listed on the contract, Walgreens. My regular doctor I have been seeing for years has left the practice and been replaced with someone I have no relationship with, so if I go in complaining about my medication all of the sudden, it’s red flag time and we all know where that can lead. I am at a loss for what to do all the way around.I have gone from being able to get around and have a life to being practically bed ridden with pain. Not to mention the heart arrhythmia’s, nausea and terrible itching all over. Don’t know which way to turn?

Also I would like to know if anyone has filed any complaints about this medication and if so, to whom did you file it. I have asked 5 different pharmacists at Walgreens if they have had other complaints and they all just say no I haven’t heard anything bad at all, like they don’t even tell the other pharmacist in their own store. This seems impossible to me but I know that me complaining to them goes nowhere. It seems like we should all be making these issues formally known by someone who could possibly help somehow. I don’t know. Any suggestions? The only place I know to file a complaint is the FDA Medwatch website. Has anyone done that?

Are you talking about the k56 Oxycodone from kvk? I asked my doctor for IR oxy like that and he told me that he only prescribes those for cancer patients. Yet he was more than willing to write a script for percocet 10/325.

It's my understanding that the Oxycodone without the acetaminophen has less binders and fillers. Is that true? That's why I asked for them. I don't like tylenol. I'm an ibuprofen kinda guy. lol

I'm sure many people have filed complaint's via FDA MedWatch. However, some of us are of the belief that the FDA is fully aware of the situation and possibly even complicit as "nomas" mentions in post 108 on this thread.

Personally, I don't trust the government. I work for the government. I know what they're capable of. I know history. I can pretty much guarantee you that anyone who does file a complaint about opiate pills on FDA's MedWatch are probably having their names put on a list (red flag) as "drug abusers".

So sorry u are suffering so much. At your next doc appt, print out this whole thread including a couple other threads that discuss the issues/problems people are having with this Camber generic. It will show them that you're not making it up. I too, have posted and followed this thread since Dec when I 1st tried this worthless generic.

I since, have stopped taking Cambers (after taking it and suffering the side affects as well as withdrawals) since 2 months of trying. Last month, I took my RX to Rite-Aid and got the Rhodes generic which work 10000x better than Cambers but not as well as the A333 generic Walgreens had prior to them switching to Cambers.

I have been complaining to Walgreens and now that so many others are experiencing the same terrible side affects and hopefully are also complaining, Walgreens will realize that its a big issue and perhaps do something about it ( we can only hope!). I think the best we can do as of now is complain complain complain to Walgreens and let our voices be heard!

We have BCBS, no problem having pain med covered. Would you mind saying who you heard this from? Or where you may have read it? BCBS probably has many different plans. Ours is UAW retiree, and have heard no such thing. Maybe you misunderstood. They have certainly changed protocol for coverage of pain med.

My doctor was more than happy to prescribe these but I’m having horrible side effects from them! I am going back to Percocets at my next appointment and trying to find a pharmacy that does it’s own compounding.

I share much of what you struggle with, including the dependence issue. My scripts are for 20 days a month. I am not in PM. Oxycodone 10's, 120 for the 20 days, every four hours one pill. The downside is withdrawal each and every month. The upside is 10 days off the med allows for a bit of recovery, making the next 20 days of meds to be more effective than if I had no break from it. I accept it will be this way every month. I want to keep my primary care physician as the one to treat my pain, so this manner of prescribing keeps me from requiring more and more potency to be effective.

What is hugely disconcerting for me is what I find to be somewhat obsessive thoughts about getting my new script again. Seems to me to suggest addict behaviour. I do nothing illegal or against doctor orders to procure drugs in between, but those compulsive thoughts truly bother me. Am I an addict? I get pain relief, not high. A bit of a lift, but still, not HIGH. I count down the days before my refill. Yes, I want relief. I have trigeminal neuralgia, fibro, RA, so of course I want some comfort. I'll plan my trips and whatnot for when I will have meds, which is practical for me. I'm almost 60. Partying days way behind me, but still I feel these meds have changed me psychologically. Is that bad? Is that just what happens to a chronic pain patient? Not having had the years some here have had on oxy's, I just want some input on this. Is this normal?

Re: JMJ (# 125) Expand Referenced Message

If you take 4 pills daily only instead of 1 every 4 hrs u will be just right for 30 days. 8am, noon, 4pm then 8pm. Go to sleep by midnight then a new day with same pattern dosage daily. This way no withdrawels for 10 days. 4 per day for 30 days (120/month) is a script you are blessed & fortunate to have. Hope this helps.

Yes I am talking about those pills, they work great. I go to pain mgt and I never had cancer. Some doctors say they don't write them because drug addicts abuse those.

Yes, you are absolutely correct. Straight oxycodone is only oxycodone, NO FILLERS OR BINDERS. My pm told me he can't do that,,,he would not say why. Pls feel better! As a result with pain meds not working....I am progressingly getting worse, having ALL MY MEDS CHANGED and now have a brand new problem.I suffer intense pain in the morning after waking up, past few weeks I cannot fall asleep at night at all. Wonder if something is going on in the brain that is stopping me from sleeping ???

MeJane, Mason & Drgrandy, I truly appreciate your thoughtful replies to a post I made, most likely on the WRONG thread, lol. Probably a better place for my discussion.

Now to respond. Yes, Dr. I probably do KNOW and SHOULD run. Rereading my own post, I think you're right! But...I have been in unrelenting pain for 25 years without relief. I didn't WANT to go down the proverbial rabbit hole. Joint replacement, both knees did nothing for my knee pain and actually increased my knee pain. I utilized each and every script for therapy. I used to run 4-5 miles every other day, right up to 52 years old. Mechanically I am better off. My first was at 42, second at 54. I gut through so much pain, but being of the mind 'use it or lose it', I never gave up. Until a large stroke stole my coordination. Then thoracic outlet syndrome with an aneurysm. They took out 2 ribs and my right scalene muscle. 7 and a half hours on the table and 6 months of therapy. Serious Damage to my trigeminal nerve due to surgery.

Those are only a few of the issues that literally sucked the life out of me. Don't want to sound like my physical issues define me, they dont, but they do seriously impact my life. Being in the golden years, I just want to celebrate my kids and their kids. You'll certainly find many on this forum with more conditions, more surgeries, more pain, more test results, etc....my sympathies go out to them, but my goal is simply functionality. I have purchased a tens machine and utilize natural remedies as I find them. These issues are like trying to tame a gorilla. The gorilla is too big for me. So I do what I can to subdue it.

4x a day. Gonna do. Only because 6 is not necessary. Thank you. Made me reflect on what I need as opposed to what I want.

Mason, I appreciate your intelligent posts. I share your mistrust of the govt. We do need to be careful.

Thanks all for your kind response to my misplaced post. :)

Everyone stay away from Walgreens pharmacy they are the ones that got the cheap generic ones that cause pains in the chest and other side effects I suggest to go to the mall and pop pharmacies that are not popular because they are better quality medication

Re: JMJ (# 132) Expand Referenced Message

May I ask you if you can take Ibuprofen? I myself take 4 doses of 10 mg Percocet a day due to my pain. I'm also prescribed 800 mg ibuprofen if need be an addition for the extra pain. Or you can buy the over the counter ibuprofen 200 mg and take the equivalent of 800 mg. I have noticed it helps a lot with inflammation and if I take it in between my dosages of pain medication it does help space them out a little bit better, as sometimes I am tempted due to the pain that I'm in to take them more than every 6 hours or to take one and a half of my dosage. I have been very open and honest with my doctors to let them know both situations and do not hide anything from them. The more open and honest you are with them the more likely they are to help you. Always keep that in mind.

Re: bubblewrap (# 131) Expand Referenced Message

They still have fillers, the generic I’m taking is

Kvk tech K 56
The tablets contain the following inactive ingredients: corn starch; lactose monohydrate; microcrystalline cellulose; silicon dioxide; sodium starch glycolate; and stearic acid. The 10 mg tablet also contains D&C Red No. 27 aluminum lake.

I think it’s the lactose that’s causing me horrible stomach pains. But I go tomorrow to get switched to something else

You are right about Walgreens. Just wanted to let you know that alot of mom and pop stores are carrying Alvogen, Rhodes, and Amneal. Those generic's are what is out there. Those I heard are pretty bad too. Ask, & do your research before purchasing. I have a couple debilitating conditions, I take blood thinners and am not supposed to be taking ibuprofen. Guess what? I HAVE TO BECAUSE THE PAIN MEDS ARE NOT WORKING. I AM VERY AFRAID. Best of luck to you, feel better. At this point..all of us have to be our own advocates.

Re: painnnn (# 124) Expand Referenced Message

Hi. The "pain meds" that are supposed to relieve pain..... I think they are placebos with horrible fillers. I have been in severe pain with no light at the end of the tunnel. As a result, I am constantly having crying spells and need to get some professional help. I'm not sure how much longer I can hold on like this. Has anyone heard.....they are putting narcan in the pain pills? I am wondering...is that why nothing is helping all of us?

Re: Bubble wrap (# 136) Expand Referenced Message

Yes, I heard the same & you r not alone with the side effects u describe that happen to me as well and have been suddenly constant for the last 9 months to date after years of managed percocet treatment. Initially when horrible side effects began I thought maybe it was my time & I’d developed a disease! Every month going to my primary Dr insisting he order new bloodwork evaluations cuz I’d changed nothing in my wellcare meds. My bloodwork always coming back great! In reading your’s & all of these horror stories here I’m heartbroken for us all yet a bit relieved I’m not terminally ill nor alone with this. Obviously, our PERCOCET NEW FORMULATION must be the common denominator to these horrible new sudden side effects as we all take the same medicine; regardless of generic its percocet & obviously NALOXONE is the culprit new additive filler in it. I researched NALOXONE; it blocks the effects of opioids. It’s used for detoxing opioid addicts so they dont feel good from it, therefore, won't want to take it. Research this. So sad in gov’t effort to save addicts who abuse this, the gov’t disregards the higher percentage of us “good patients” who need it & respect it.

Re: Poohsy (# 134) Expand Referenced Message

Poohsy, about ibuprofen. That was my painkiller of choice before my stroke! Sadly, I can no longer take it because of medication interactions. Being on statins and blood thinners, it interferes. Plus the fact that NSAIDs further thin the blood, it is no longer an option. Between balance issues (large cerebellar stroke) and the falls i take, my body looks like that of an abused woman! If I could choose between Advil and Tylenol it would be Advil hands down. Advil worked best on headaches and swelling due to RA. I actually miss it for treating a simple headache. Advil was too weak to treat RA and trigeminal nerve damage. It was somewhat useful for fibro. Somewhat.

It is my choice to NOT use the anticonvulsants many use for trigeminal. Side effects were terrible. Narcotics do nothing for trigeminal 1 which is pain throughout the face. They do help with the teeth aching and the other aches associated with type 2 TN. Thank you for your thoughtful suggestion, Poohsy, and taking the time to reply.
