I am going to a pain management appointment in 2 days. I need to use synthetic urine, but I also need it to show that I am taking my Norco/10 mg hydrocodone. Can I add some powder from a crushed pill to the fake urine? Will that make the synthetic urine positive for Norco? I am hoping so. Please reply asap anyone! Thanks so much!

Teri- I also have used synthetic urine (QuikFix Ultra is the best) and added a tiny amount of the pill to it. I have done this and not had any problems at least 4 or 5 times. Obviously you just don't know what you're doing.

It works if they dont send it off which most pain clinics do, but u can def add anthing and it will test positive abd work as ling as they just yse the despisable dips, i caution though, if u add too much powder it will make it test for oxy, my suggestion us know your doc and what they do, pee is easily brought in and kept at temp u jyst have to get the drugs right, ti he safe either say off everything yoyr not suppsed to have and take what u r for awhile before ir get someone to take your meds and pee for you jyst in case its sent off

It is people like you that make those who are really suffering pain and take their meds correctly suffer shame as if they are an intentional addict. I have been in pain management for 15 years and I'm sick of the suspicion and treatment I get. I take my meds as I am supposed to. If you were truly suffering and no one would help you, you guys are always the one screaming the loudest "HELP GIVE ME something for pain NOW or I will hurt you!" As you grab the shirt collar of the unlucky doctor who happens to get you for a patient and then you become quite a bit more humble and get off your high horse of calling people junkies who are dealing with doctors who force MS Contin on them when it doesn't work and they don't need a long acting, but getting by on 4 a day of somethings they've been taking for years. Then told by the doctor if you don't take the long acting you will not get anything for pain. After begging for two weeks they are forced to take it. Then after two years and the body gets used to it, due to all the opioid deaths, they tell you you aren't taking this anymore, but then you suffer sickness and withdrawals, emotions going wild for something you never wanted in the first place! Then if one says something they are considered a problem patient, because of judgemental people like you that obviously, don't understand chronic pain and the effects it has on their lives, their dignity, etc. Why are you here anyway if you are so perfect! Are you a drug cop? I have a friend who is a cop. He gets kidney stones and the only thing that relieves the pain is Dilaudid in the emergency room.. No judgements like you on those who need the medicine. There are a lot of people that are given doses of medicine and then their provider changes and to survive with the agony they are in take something until they get used to the new providers routine, it's agony to live with chronic pain and one never knows when they go to sleep if they will hurt so badly the next day Too badly too function. I pray that God heals all those that suffer so much or at least they can get something to even slightly alieviate their unbearable suffering!

First of all, you're both correct...
Not all labs check for the metabolytes simply because of cost... some simply do a "strip" test which only sees the chemical and doesn't differentiate the metabolyte... Veterans hospital labs use this method and I've been passing my tests by "spiking" for years...
More specialized labs that specialize in commercial drug testing use more sophisticated testing to make sure the metabolytes are present...
I can understand how incomplete info led to the adamant claim that "spiking" doesn't work, because almost all articles written on the subject refer to the procedures used by more sophisticated, drug-testing clinics with upgraded testing, and more costly, procedures...

If they use a basic 5 panel, the crushed matter of a pill will work, as it only tests for "OPIATES." If the pain clinic uses the gas spectrometer machine, it will break down all of the metabolites and the residue trick will not work. So the 2 people arguing likely were both tested with different methods.

How soon before your test should you put the powder in? Does anyone know how long synthetic is good for? I had some I heated up (about 3 months ago) and never used it, but I don't know if it's good anymore? This is new to me, as my car accident happened very recently.
Just to clear some stuff up, SOME people need extra help managing pain (IE Mary Jane), and it IS in fact legal where I live. However, my insurance frowns upon using both Norcos and MJ and will stop prescribing Norcs I test positive for MJ, so I have to avoid that at all costs or I end up stuck in bed unable to function some days. You people need to not judge, you do not know other people's stories, worry about your own damn live's and feel blessed that you are able to function normally every day

I carried around a bottle (for almost a month) that I had put in the microwave a few times as well as used hand warmers to keep it the right temp. That was a couple years ago for a job at Budweiser with a panel test. So if you have to take a panel, reheating shouldn't be a problem, but if a lab... I mean... they can test anything for pretty much anything they get a hankering for. Just look at NCIS.

I have been in pain management for 12 years always past because I took my correct meds of oxycodone 15 mg 4 times a day and Soma 32mg 4 times a day. We moved from Az to Ky. Doctors here have been crazy! First thy took away the Soma, wanted me to use Flexeril (what a joke), they have promised me that there is no doctor in this state that would prescribe them (so far true) then replaced the 15 mg oxy for lortab (still laughing) and so found a new doc. After 4 more failures, Finally got a pain management office that would do my oxy, but instead of Soma they did Tizanidine. Ok while trying to find a Dr, I started trying different ways to deal with all my debilitated conditions. So I tried a few, but then had to find a way to pass the ua. First two times of using hubby's clean urine with small amount of my perscribed meds this worked 2 x's, fired at 3rd visit due to drugs not metabalized. This happened at 3 office. Now have a new pain clinic. I started pulling off other things. Have appt Tuesday and need urine sample. Since being fired 3 times for ua showing meds not metabalized, I can't get fired again! What should I do?

I'm on my way to pain management test... I used the upass and I poured it into my Norco bottle that had only the dust, should this be enough my doctor. told me the last time that my norco was not showing up in my screen a month later I took the same synthetic pe with a little narco in it and the doctor came back , as she stated it that. I was not showing up. And that I would need to come back in 3 weeks and do. The pain management assessment sheet. But I ran out of my meds in the mean time and I called her up and she went ahead and refilled my prescription so that makes me think that it showed up in my last test, if not I don't think she would have prescribed me. Now I have to go this morning. I hope there is nothing going on this time, either.
