Swithcing From Bupropion Xl To Sr
UpdatedI started on a course of Bup. XL of 150 mg for the first week and then double that the second week. Mornings which had been so difficult for me were great, but when I switched to the 300, I had terrible insomnia, and trouble reading. So the doctor switched me to Bup. SR 200 mg, and I am back to exhausted again. I have plenty of the XL left and am considering switching back and maybe cutting the second pill in half. Any recommendations or experience?

The first thing that needs to be cleared up for you is that the XL and SR mean the same thing, there is no difference in those. They are both just abbreviations that designate those ones are being time released.
If you were doing so well on the 150mg dosage, why did he want you to keep going up?
It would really make more sense to stay at that dosage, if it works well for you.
You can learn more Bupropion details here.
And no, you can't cut them in half, since they are time released. That could put you in danger of overdose, because you may get too much of the medication at once.
