Switching From Methadone To Suboxone Temporarily

I am thinking about switching from methadone to suboxone just temporarily until I get over the methadone detox, but will it put me in withdrawal if I stay on 30 mg a week, then be clean for 3-4 days?!

Oh jus to add more information to my post I can either come off 30 mg methadone cold turky using tramadol or go to suboxone I'm afraid my methadone level won't be low enuff can anyone please help

No. Its a perfect reason to switch but if ur gona go through the withdraw n be ok maybe dont go back.
I get it ur body detixing from one opiate while not getting hooked on another yet but stick w it n get off. Ur on anlow dose n u xan do it. Better then methadone. N u have mlre options now instesd of subs. Too

Generally, you have to be in full withdrawal, before you can start Suboxone, or it may throw you into dangerous precipitated withdrawals, since it takes a stronger hold on your opiate receptors, and kicks out anything else clinging to them.

Both of these medications are opioids that carry the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, constipation, and headache.

What process has your doctor advised you to use for making such a switch?

I’ve been trying to get off suboxone/zubsolv for a year! It is horrible I’ve gotten off methadone by weaning very slowly IMHO this is 10 times worse and comes along with PAWS (post acute withdrawal syndrome) read about it don’t believe me. Suboxone is a wolf in sheep’s clothing. It is ruining my already complicated life! Stay away. This is my very experienced opinion. I’d rather go cold turkey than this. I should not have believed the doctor. He gets 200 a month he doesn’t want me to get off of it! IMHO
