Switching From Risperdal Consta To Invega Sustenna

How many mgs of Risperdal Consta are released daily from the 2 week shot of 12.5?

Additionally my son had an awful reaction to Invega when it first came out. So far so good on the Risperdal Consta.

I was just wondering if he transitions to the Invega Sustenna (4 week) dose would that be any different and why?

There are 2 mgs released daily in the 12.5 two week shot. My son also had a miserable reaction to the Invega when it first came out although it's supposed to filter thru the kidneys and therefore be easier on the liver. After the 4th week he wants to take the Invega Sustenna too & I'm scared because when any medication is changed there are problems. I think it's due to the upload and then download that causes the weird reactions. Slow titration seems to be a better avenue.
