Switched To Nucynta

I have been on morphine er 30 and ir 15 for breath rough pain for 3 years I went to pain management dr today and she switched me to the nucynta 100er, and nucenta 50 for breakthough..does anyone know if this will help my back..I have 3 bulging discs and degenerating disks..I work full time and do alot of lifting and bendin..the morphine had worked great just didn't know if I got use to it. I was reading about nucynta and it says same class as tramadol and that does nothing for me do I need positive feedback that this will work and will I have withdraw from morphine?

What you have to understand is that all the medications you've mentioned are in the same category, Tramadol is just a very mild opioid in comparison to the others.

Nucynta contains the active ingredient Tapentadol and it successfully helps many people with pain, however, the only way to see if it helps you is by trying it.

The FDA classifies this mediation as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
