Switched From Hydrocodone To Embeda Er (Top voted first)

I have been taking hydrocodone 10/325 for 4 years and it stopped working....now doctor puts me on long acting embeda which doesn't work at all!! He won't switch me back....what medicine will work for me?

Same here he wont put me back on hydrocodone.....I'm having bowel incontinence with the embeda

Hello, Dawn! How are you? What dose of the Embeda were you prescribed? There's a chance that it isn't equivalent to what you were taking.

The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation.

Sorry to hear you are still in pain. I take Embeda 50mg once a day. I was on norco 7.5/325 for several months and it stopped working. Dr put me on embeda but when I brought up having some break thru pain he said most Drs are now only prescribing their chronic pain patients extended release medicine no instant release.
