Switch From Amoxicillin To Doxycycline Monohydrate
UpdatedHi, I was currently prescribed Amoxicillin for Bronchitis and a Sinus infection. I have been taking it for two days and I started getting really bad headaches. Is it ok to switch over to Doxycycline Monohydrate and how long should I wait to start them?

Unless your doctor instructs otherwise, you can usually just do a clean switch by replacing one with the other at your next dosing time.
The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea.
So, the headaches are a normal occurrence.
Is there anything else I can help with?
