Swelling Causede By Citalopram Hbr

I am taking citalopram HBR 10 mg and am experiencing swelling of my legs and arms. Is this a possible side effect?

Hi eileen,

I can't find any information that claims "swelling of the arms and legs" to be a side effect. However, I did read that allergic reactions to this medication can cause swelling of the face, tongue, eyes or mouth.

Everyone reacts differently to prescription medication so it's possible that the problems you are experiencing could be the result of this drug. Nonetheless, do not stop taking Citalopram HBR without first talking to your healthcare provider.
