Swelling

I have been on Lyrica for a long time. For the first few years everything was great, no side effects Before I started, it just for my tiny premie( it quite 4lbs) to lie on my chest. But now sometimes I retain so much fluid that I cannot get my jeans on and my legs are so swollen that my skin burns from stretching so fast. Also, if you press on a place it feels like play dough and leaves a deep imprint that takes a bit to go away. I am taking Lasix, but it is nor helping any more. Any suggestions? I don't want to stop taking in and have to tell my little girl she cannot play and crawl on mommy.

According to medlineplus: "swelling of the arms, hands, feet, ankles, or lower legs" are all listed as common side effects of Lyrica (Pregabalin).

Unfortunately the only real way to put a stop to these side effects is to stop taking the medication that's causing them. I wouldn't recommend stopping it without talking to your doctor first, but I do believe there are much safer options out there that can effectively replace Lyrica.

Have you considered looking into any natural alternatives?
