Susten Injection Pain

I inject Susten 100 mg 50 mg/ml once a month. I injected in my outer thigh yesterday and the injection site and all the way down my thigh from the injection site is very painful. Should I be concerned? It is painful to touch and to walk.

Its natural to have pain at injection site after susten inj which is in an oil base. Try to inject in a big muscle and do it slow. Gluteal muscle is a better choice for this injection. You can try ice pack to reduce pain.

What might have happened is that you injected it too fast and created a bolus of the solution under this skin. When this happens, there is too much to be absorbed at once and it sits in the tissue for awhile, which creates deep bruising, which could explain the soreness you're experiencing.
