what are the side effects of susten 400 when taken orally

My wife is 9week pregnant and doctor adviced to use susten 400mg daily in night (to be inserted), and another doctor adviced Duphaston 10mg in addition. I want to know it is required both medecine? What is the use of it and if we do not use it what it will happen.
