Susten contains a micronized Progesterone, it is used to replace this hormone when someone is lacking in it.
That said, this site is not medical professionals, the capsule itself should dissolve, otherwise for proper use, you should follow the instructions provided by your doctor or pharmacist. If they did not tell you, please contact them and ask, before you try to use it.

Hello,
I am 29 years old 7 weeks 2 days pregnant.
I have been taking folwise at bedtime.
After looking at my ultrasound report my Doctor has adviced me to take Susten 200 and duphaston(Dydrogesterone) 10 mg.
The ultra sound report narration is as following:
The uterus measures 67x40x77 mm. There is gestatational sac in the fundus. This shows a single, live embryo, 5.7 mm in crown rump length : 6 weeks & 2 days (17 Sep 2009). Mensurational Age 7 weeks 2 days. The embryonic heart rate is 130 beats per minute and normal. Liquor amnii is normal. Trophoblastic echoes are normal. There is choriodecidual separation on the superior and right lateral aspect of the gestation sac which involves one - fourth of the sac perimeter an shows an associated collection of 0.51 ml.
There is an anterior wall interstitial fibroid. This measures 18 mm across.
The internal os is closed
The length of the cervix is 31 mm.
There is a 16 mm corpus luteum in the right ovary.
No adnexal mass is delineated.
There is no free fluid in the pelvis

we are trying to concieve from last 1.5 yrs , but could not concieve. our gyne has prescribed Susten 200. plz tell whether it will help my wife in getting pregnent. we had done all basic tests(blood, urine, thyroid, ovulation and HSG, and sperm culture and blood, urine test, )reports are positive.

Hello Mani,
Yes susten 200 is safe. After much apprehension I started to take susten 200 and it is a good thing. Internationally it is only being banned for commercial reasons. We had cross consulted several Doctors independently before starting with susten 200.

My doctor advised me to take sustan 200 as i had some problems with my periods. She also said it works as a contraceptive. Now my periods are regular and everything is fine. But i wanna know if i can use Susten 200 in place of contraceptive. Is Susten200 a contraceptive pill? Is there any problem/side-effects if i use it as contraceptive? Looking forward to some expert advice.
