I am looking for a manufacture coupon that will help me pay for my Suprep Bowel Prep Kit. I am 70 years old and can not afford this medication. Can you help me?

I had a colonoscopy this week. The Suprep at Walgreens cost $167.90. My co-pay was $91.00. The month before, I had another colonoscopy and was prescribed Dulcolax and Magnesium Citrate . Cost less than $10.00 ! Suprep was so nasty tasting, it took me hours to drink.

I paid a pretty penny also back in February. Suprep should be removed from the market. Can't fight the Pharmaceuticals they come out on top almost every singe time getting rich on the poisons they pass off as "helpful" to the human race.
The sorriest day in my life was the day I forced that stuff down.
My heart hurts thinking of the others who won't be able to tolerate it either.
Sorry you had to pay big $$$$ for it and I hope you were one who's body could tolerate it. Have a great New Year.

To make matters worse this prep made me sick and did not work well for me. I lost a complete nights sleep and went through with the colonoscopy. For a full two weeks thereafter I had nothing but gas and nausea. When I saw the doctor I told him all the trouble I had with it and about the $90! He said for some it works great and there are some people it does not agree with and I was not completely clean. I need another colonoscopy next year and will only take the Miralax and cheap Gatorade formula that works great. Crazy to give this high cost crap to seniors.

I had to get this wonderful script three times and Walgreens cost about $92.00 the third time i said to the doctors office and told them even with prescription coverage this 92 dollar thing is not feasible on social security so they gave me it. Now for the medication itself like most the taste is awful and the amount you need to drink are just something one is not use to.

I called the doctors office...told them I’m NOT shelling out $140 for this prep since I’m on social security and have NO RX INSURANCE. They said NO PROBLEM....just go buy 6 tablets of Dulcolax “laxative” - not the softener (generic is ok) and an 8 oz container of Miralax powder (again, generic is fine)....then she gave me the instructions on how and when. She said they prescribe the Surprep because the regimen & time frame of taking it is simpler than the tablets with the miralax.

What a scam! Not only is the price outrageous it requires that you get up early a.m. to take more. What descent Doctor would prescribe this. Must be real kickback going on here.

Your damned straight it’s all about the kickbacks my friend. I worked for a physician and know first hand the drug reps / companies “reward” physicians ( various ways) based on number of scripts for their meds they write.

Just picked up my SUPREP Rx from Rite Aid. They charged $131 for the kit. RIDICULOUS. WALMART quoted me a price of $102. Still RIDICULOUS.

Only coupon I found was for $15. voucher IF YOUR CO-PAY IS $40 OR MORE.

This is the biggest scam yet. For years the prep was some MAG CITRATE you could get for around $5.00 plus some ducolax tabs and maybe Miralax. You KNOW these doctors who call in this "prescribed" kit are getting KICKBACKS from the Mfg. No question in my mind. Drug reps would give my boss pre-typed out RX pads that all he had to do was sign them. Then a couple times a year he'd go on Ski Trips or Florida Trips courtesy the Drug Companies based on # of scripts written. There is NO WAY these two 6 oz bottles should cost this kind of money.........

If you go to another pharmacy the suprep will be around the same price. It's not your drug stores fault, it's knowing what's name brand or not and what's on your insurances formulary. The doctors now how expensive NEW Name Brand medications cost OUT of Pocket but don't really know the cost CO-PAY of the drug with your specific insurance. Most insurances have a website that you can view what is covered and what the copays are so before you leave your doctors office there's no real surprise at the pharmacy.

Ask your local pharmacy. If I were you I wouldn't use that product anyway. It doesn't work on many people and the doctor then the doctor accuses the patient of not consuming all of the product. Good luck you.

I just picked up my Suprep prescription that was called in to Walmart by my doctor's office. I was stunned to hear my discounted cost would be $92.93 for the two little bottles and a plastic glass. Absolute rip-off. My doctor will get an earful from me because he switched me from a prep costing less than $10 to this rip-off price from Walmart.

Saw your post. Having a colonoscopy on Thursday. Insurance has not approved the Suprep. I think CVA said $100.00 or close to it. I am a medical transcriptionist so I type this stuff all of the time. A surgeon recommended Fleet's phosphate saline 45 cc dilute with Gatorade or juice over 1 1/2 hours. I wrote yours down with magnesium citrate and Dulcolax.
