Sulfamethoxazole W Tmp Su Side Effects

my two year old son was given sulfamethoxazole+trimethoprim su...40mg for a ear infection and he has to be on this for 1 month is this ok for him to be on this for that long and he has had some breathing problems 10 day after using this. is this normal?

Have you consulted his doctor?

No, it generally isn't used that long, but they may have decided it was necessary if the infection was very severe.

And, if he's having breathing problems, you should definitely consult the doctor to see what's causing them.
