Sulfamethoxazole Tmp Susp Side Effects

My 9month old was given sulfamethoxazloe 1 teaspoon twice a day. He is not eating a lot at all and his stool is a gray kind of clay color with a very bad smell. Should i be concerned?

Sulfamethoxazole with Trimethoprim is an antibiotic and it is a little difficult to say what side effects it may cause in a child.

Have you contacted his doctor? It is advisable to do so anytime you see odd effects and aren't certain about them, especially in a child.
