Sulfamethoxazole Tmp Ds Tab Used For

I AM TAKING AMOXICILLIN FOR UTI. 875 MG TABLETS.ONE EVERY 12 HOURS. I NEED TO
CHANGE TO SULAMETHOXAZOLE-TMP. CAN I SUB
SULFAMETHOXAZOLE WHEN IT WOULD HAVE BEEN TIME TO TAKE AMOX?

Hi Roy,

The answer to your question is yes, as long as you're still sticking to your dosing regimen. A friend of mine had to take both of these medications at once for a staph infection, so I know they don't necessarily interact with one another in that regard.
