Sulfameth Trimethoprim Expiration

I have a urinary trac infection I have some sulfameth trimethoprim 800/160 left from tha last infection but it is from 2012 is it still good to take?

Tablets have an expiration date of one year from the date they were dispensed to you. After that, they being to degrade and lose effectiveness.

Thus, it would be better to dispose of them and see your doctor for a new prescription.

The FDA lists the typical side effects of an antibiotic as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.
