Sulfameth Trimethoprim 800 160 Used For Ear Infections (Top voted first)

my ear pain was so terrible which give throat & neck pain...
I can not eat nor drink...my throat became very painful Dr gavme me, Azithromycin I took them 2 days but not help at all. Now dr. Gives me Sulfame Thoprim 800/160
she told me that I should switchi this antibiotic.
Does this help me terrible ear pain?

Sulfamethoxazole with Trimethoprim, the active ingredients in Bactrim, is an antibiotic that's used to treat infections.

It is not a pain reliever, but can help eradicate the infection that's causing your pain and generally, you need to give an antibiotic about 3 days to work.

After 24 hours, you may still have some pain, but if the antibiotic is starting to work, it shouldn't get any worse. Then you should start to have improvement after 3 days.

This medication may also cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.

hello I seem to get an ear infection in my right ear like once every 2 months can I do stop this completely, I have taken the antibiotic several time and it does go away but seem to alway come even more painful each time
