Hi AJ,
Sorry to say, but Antibiotics in general will not work for colds, flu, and other viral infections. For such symptoms I would suggest looking into more natural alternatives, such as:
Raw Honey + Tea - for throat pain/inflammation
Lavender Essential Oil - for any muscle aches
Plenty of water + Fruits & Veggies - for the fever
Many fruits and Vegetables have natural healing properties that can help get your body's temp back to normal in very little time at all (if this is all you're eating for the most part). I also believe the therapeutic properties of honey, tea, and lavender will be of great benefit.
