Suffering In Fort Myers

y husband has a severe curvature of the spine along w/ other conditions relating to that. He has been going to the same pain management dr for almost 20 years and has been on oxycodone or a similar medication for the same period of time. He has had all sorts of MRI's, in office proceedures, etc. He has been to a specialist in Boston who told him he would need to be the full length of his torso in the back and would require a long incision in the front as well, and then the outcome would be doubtful. My husband is close to 70 years old, actively working and in pain most of the time. The surgeon told us that the recovery from the surgery he would need would be challenging even for a young person. He would perform it and told him he didn't know of any doctor that would. We have had a very tpigh past few years. We have been financially devasted but trying to maintain and persevere. Of course, like so many others, my husband cannot get the oxycodone medication he has been on for many years. He cannot take morphine because he's allergic to it and insurance won't cover oxycontin. We are in the Cape Coral area. Does anyone know of any place that is filling these prescriptions?

I'm so sorry to hear about what you and your husband are going through. If you can't get your prescriptions filled locally, would you open to trying an online pharmacy that can ship you your meds? Do you know of a dr legitimate one who will prescribe narcotics in lee county? I have had it w my pain management place, they don't care about people only about money..now they are up to illegal stuff using a lab company whos been sued before for giving false positive test results to make the dr and lab money. I don't have insurance and do not know what to do .
