Suddenly Stopping Irbesartan With Doctor's Approval (Top voted first)

So today is day three of not taking my blood pressure meds (Irbesartan) with Dr approval. This morning my BP was elevated to 136/96 and I have a headache. Is this normal and ok or should I be worried?

The 96 is a little high, but nothing severely dangerous. Why did your doctor have you stop taking it and how much were you taking?

The FDA warns that other withdrawal effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, and increased heart rate.

I was taking 300 mg and I had lost quite a lot of weight. My Bp has been 110/77 so we thought we’d try taking me off to see how I do. I have a Bp machine so I can watch it
