Sudden Onset Of Flu-like Symptoms
UpdatedWas given a steroid injection for right knee pain & was given lodine 2x daily & took glucosamine chondroitin with msm. Felt better in 2 weeks. Stopped taking med & suppliment but suddenly developed stiff achy muscles & joints, specifically backs of knees & neck. Have headache, fever, chills, shakishaking ness of breath (feels like I took in too much chlorine water @ pool-w/out swimming). Am normally healthy 59 yr old female, active swimmer, jogger & golfer.

Hello, Menaches! How are you?
Have you had this checked out by your doctor?
It could be due to the steroid, but it's hard to say for sure. Its typical side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, insomnia, nervousness, weight gain and acne.
However, there is also a chance that it was due to the iodine. Symptoms like that are specially listed among its side effects.
