Subutex Ohio - Can't Take Suboxone
UpdatedHey everyone. I hope that someone can give me some direction. I've been an addict for about 17 years. Long story short, I started purchasing Suboxone until I could get in treatment. I discovered that my body cant tolerate naloxone. Bad things happen! LOL. Rashes, headaches, and my breathing became very labored. That scared me. I came across the Subutex-which has no naloxone. I took those, and I was fine. I just cannot find anyone to prescribe me the Subutex since i've moved from my old location. I live in Eastern Ohio. My job puts me all over the state. So, i'd be content with a reasonably priced provider/doctor/psychiatrist/md/clinic ANYWHERE in the state of Ohio. If any of you can help me I would be deeply grateful. I hate to say this, but I feel hopeless & almost like my recovery depends on this.
Thanks Everyone!

I don't know If u figured anything out but I just moved back to pa from ohio and I'm pregnant just found out and looking for a Dr. To prescribe me subutex because I have been taking them for about a year. but when I was in ohio my ex went to a sub Dr in new philly. At first he got suboxone then his second or third time back he mentioned having to go to the dentist and they put him on the tex. so I would just go there and explain ur situation. hope I helped.
Would anyone care to refer me to a doctor, psychiatrist, clinic, or facility willing to prescribe Subutex to those who do not have insurance, are on a tight budget, or for anyone with a naloxone sensitivity issue? Recently, there have been two generic Buprenorphine tablets released onto the market. My thought is that the new medications indicate a niche market for pharmaceutical company's to exploit to make $$$). Thus, I feel as if regulations and the powers at hand may be alleviating the tight restrictions and browbeating attitudes imposed on prescribers. Let's hope this is true. It is unfair for addicts to be denied treatment because of price gouging companies, or in light of physicians afraid to prescribe a medication intended on helping those in need of treatment.
I live in Goshen, OH 45122. I need a Subutex doctor that takes Medicare and Medicaid. I would also like to get my rehabilitation meetings online through "Smart Recovery".
Re: Linda (# 4)
Since it has been two years since you posted your question, I don’t know if you still need a response or not. I live in the Cleveland, OH area (not sure if it’s anywhere near you) and none of the Suboxone doctors take insurance. All of them want at least $200 per month, just to be seen by them and to give you a prescription for a 28 day supply. The only benefit to having insurance for this type of physician is to cover the monthly drug panels, and to help pay for the medication at the pharmacy (which is extremely expensive without insurance). These doctors also require that you attend AA/NA meetings each month, and you need to bring documentation as proof that you went.
It looks like you posted this question years ago, so I can only assume that you found a doctor already. Do you still need a recommendation for one? I go to one in the Cleveland area (in Brunswick, to be more specific), if you would still like to know the name of it.
I have taken Suboxone a few times. I really think if I could find a Subutex doctor instead, I could kick my opioid habit. When I took Subutex I didn't even think about any other drugs.
