Subutex 8mg (Top voted first)

Can I have a tooth extracted if I'm using subutex? Will the local anaesthetic still work okay?

It should, since there is nothing in Subutex to neutralize it. The anesthetic used by dentists is not a narcotic and the Subutex doesn't contain Naloxone, anyway.

However, I'd suggest making sure the dentist knows you're taking it, just to be on the safe side.

Having had 2 teeth pulled, while I had an active infection so the anesthetic didn't work, I can assure you that's something you don't want to experience.

I got a prescription of Subutex and they look Different. From. My last Ones they are white with 155 and on the other side is a cent looking sine. Are they really Subutex?

Two teeth by being put asleep? I thought dentist do not put patients completely out, due to the fact that a form of communication must still be present..

I had a knee replaced several years ago, while I was on Subutex. We stressed this to both the surgeon and anaesthesiologist, since I was really scared about feeling pain. The anaesthesiologist obviously didn't have time to read about it, because it took almost 2 hours for me to wake up & breathe. My husband finally barged in, & made me breathe. No pain, but it could have been a lot worse...!
