Substitute Drug For Neurontin

Are there any other drugs that can be substituted for neurontin for neuropathy?

Have been taking Lyrica for 3 years for perifiral (sp?) neuropathy. Would like to get off this med and try one of the neuropathy formulas I've been reading about on-line. However, I think I have to get off Lyrica slowly - not all at once. I guess it wouldn't be safe to take the supplement while still taking 2 Lyrica daily????

Gabapentin works wonders for me. It is generic for neurotoxin.

I have been taking Gabapentin for 6 years for back pain. I am concerned about the memory loss I have been experiencing and would like to find a substitute.

Unfortunately, the other medication in this class, Pregabalin, can also cause the same side effects, including being forgetful, along with nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, mood changes, and weight changes.

Neither of them did anything for my neuropathy, unfortunately.
