Trilipix contains the active ingredient Fenofibric Acid, it is used to help lower cholesterol and since it was just approved in 2008, there is no generic for this formulation.

However, there are some generics available that do contain this same active ingredient, so you may wish to ask your doctor about switching your medication to one of those, which would be cheaper.
