is a 4mg tablet of suboxone a half of tablet or a whole tablet...could someone please explain this to me...8mg 2 mg what is what?? ## There are 2 dosages available, which contain the Buprenorphine and Naloxone, one is a 2mg/0.5mg and one is an 8mg/2mg, so yes, to take 4mgs, you'd have to take half of the larger tablet. This is a narcotic, so it may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth and constipation. Learn more: Is there anything else I can help with?

This pill is hexagonal pink with N8 inscribed on it. What is it? ## Based on the description provided, I found your hexagonal shaped pill to be Suboxone, which contains a combination of Buprenorphine (8 mg) + Naloxone (2 mg). Depending on the application form, buprenorphine is indicated for the treatment of moderate to severe chronic pain or for peri-operative analgesia. You can view a detailed description of the drug, by clicking on the link below... If you have any more questions or comments to add, please post back so I can further assist you.

OK I need to know if 8mg subutex (not suboxone) will show up on a drug screen for probation I know suboxone does not but all I could find is subutex an need to know if it will show up (asap) .thanks ## no it will not show up. It has the same active ingredient as the suboxone. Only way it'd show up is if they specifically tested you for the use of one of the two. And most probation tests are 5 panel and test for general substance abuse ## That is correct, the active narcotic in both is Buprenorphine and it requires a special test to detect it. It doesn't show up on the standard ones. I'm sure eventually it will be included on more tests, but at this moment, it isn't. Are there any other questions?

I am a pain killer addict. I was addicted to Lortabs for about 7-8 years. I began seeing a new doctor & was prescribed Suboxone 2/.5 mg & was on that until about 6 months ago when I was changed to Buprenorphine due to it being cheaper. My question is, I have become increasingly depressed & dealing with anxiety as well as becoming very withdrawn & moody. Could that be a side effect of this medication? It helps so much & I don't want to stop taking it but I need to know. Thank you in advance. ## That was supposed to say I was addicted to Lortabs NOT Mortars. Stupid auto-correct. Sorry. ## No worries, I've had some amusing autocorrects myself, especially on my iPad. And yes, all narcotics can cause these types of issues as side effects. I remember when I was on ...

My friend takes roxi's and the last time he smoked them was Saturday night 3 days ago and did not smoke since until yesterday afternoon. But he started on suboxone on Sunday until yesterday morning. He smoked 4 of them and then he did 3 more last night. He is taking the last suboxone today in the afternoon and he is drinking a jug of ice tea which has primarily water. He goes to see his probation officer tomorrow morning and he gets piss tested. Will he be okay for the test?? I am so scared for him because he could get violated. Please someone answer me. Thanks ## Narcotics such as Oxycodone and the Buprenorphine in Suboxone can be detected in urine tests for approximately 4 days, after taking them. This time frame, however, can vary from person to person, depending on their individ...

I have gained custody of my grandchild because of parent addiction. They are now being given Suboxone, the rehab person says "no, they can't get high from it". I believe they can. From what information I have read he high is just not as strong. So can a person "get high" from suboxone? ## In theory, yes, someone could get high from it, because it still contains a narcotic, which is Buprenorphine. However, there are 2 factors that come into play to prevent their doing so and abusing it. When someone is in addiction treatment, the dosage is carefully calculated to be a maintenance dose, that way it prevents withdrawals from the other drugs they were abusing, but doesn't give a high effect. And the second is that it also contains Naloxone, which prevents their takin...

If I start suboxon treatment, how often do you have to have a urine drug screen? ## The frequency is up to the individual clinic, some require them very frequently and some do not. There are just certain government guidelines that they have to follow, in order to retain their waiver to provide Suboxone treatment. They also have to require their patients to receive counseling, or some sort. You should be able to get this information from whatever clinic you are considering. Have you asked them for more information? ## yes it does depend on the clinic or doctor that has perscribed it to you . I was on suboxone at a clinic and twice sometimes no times a week would i get drug tested. I am currently on methadone i feel it works better than the suboxone for me . ## The clinic I go to only dru...

drug to prevent withdraw from opiates ## Seboxin: trying to find out what it contains and what its affects are ## The correct spelling of this drug is Suboxone, no offense intended, I just wanted to clarify as it will help make it easier to find information when you are searching for it. Now, to the information you requested, Suboxone, of course, is the trade name or name brand, the generic name, which is the same as the name of the active ingredient is Buprenorphine. It also contains a small amount of Naloxone, one fourth that amount of this for each measure of Buprenorphine in the dosage. Naloxone neutralizes opiates, this is an ingredient to help prevent people who are using Suboxone to beat an addiction from abusing either other opiates or the Suboxone itself, by neutralizing the op...

Iv been taking roxys for almost a year i tapered myself down to about 2 to1 aday and now iv been clean but iv takin suboxin once i hv a drug test on the 14 of july.will i be clean? ## You should be fine, most narcotics are only detectable in urine for 4 to 5 days, after taking them and Suboxone is actually not included on the standard tests, to detect it, a special test has to be done. How long has it been since you've taken anything?

I just found out my son is calling his heroin dealer after being on suboxeon for 3 months. Cna you shoot heroin while on suboxeon. His behavior borders on psychotic. ## I'm sorry to hear about your son. I am no expert just a person who recently started taking suboxone myself..From the literature I read that was given to me by my doc, I would say he can shoot it but it will have absolutely no effect on him because suboxone contains opiate blockers. So he would just be wasting time and money, he will not be able to get high. Good luck ## If your son is using herion than it is very likely that if he is shooting suboxone it is not suboxone it is subutes which can be injected suoxone will not make him high it blocks the effect of the opioid which can cause one of 2 things it can cause hi...

I BEEN ON OXY FOR 7 MONTHS NOW I NEED TO QUIT and get on suboxone ## Suboxone contains the active ingredients Buprenorphine, which is an opiate, and Naloxone, which is used to prevent the abuse of other opiates, while you are under treatmet with it. It must be prescribed by a doctor that has been trained in its use to treat addiction, because it cannot be started until someone is already in withdrawals and the dosage must be carefully calculated to keep the person in treatment from suffering from withdrawals. I am currently in treatment for opiate addiction (oxycotin). I am taking suboxone. I had to take a blood test, and had taken loritab. What will it show up as in a tox screen that is also testing for suboxone. ## How long after you took the Lortab was the test done? Lortab contains the narcotic Hydrocodone, coupled with Acetaminophen and narcotics have a fairly short detection time on blood tests, they can only usually be detected for a period of 6 to 12 hours. Is there anything else I can help with?

What does ciboxin do? What are the side effects?? Thak you very much ## The correct drug name is Suboxone, it contains the active ingredient Buprenorphine, it is an opiate narcotic, commonly used to treat severe pain and drug addiction. Suboxone also contains Naloxone, which is an opiate agonist, this helps prevent someone abusing other narcotics while under treatment. What it does is help prevent the withdrawals associated with stopping the use of other opiates. this pill, taking 2 on alternate days.. ( don't know other details as to shape, etc.) Does this treatment change the brain waves so that the person does not crave drugs, alcholhol, and behaves in normal ways? i.e.delusions, anxiety, anger, hallucinations ## I was questioning what my friend had said about this MED, Well, she took the 2 pills the FIRST time and had an epileptic fit,, almost died. Not going to try it again. Thank U), bye bye. So these pills can be dangerous ## Suboxone contains Buprenorphine and Naloxone, the Buprenorphine is a narcotic, so it works by replacing the other narcotic, to prevent the withdrawals and then it would normally be slowly tapered, over time, to help enable the person to become drug free. I have been taking subs for about 5monthes now...had tapered down to 1mg a day and then I messed u and took 2-4 mg a day for about a week. It may best to try to plan your taper and the time you stop taking it for when you have a day or two off of work. The withdrawals can cause rebound pain, fever, chills and nausea. If your symptoms become severe, you can always go t...
