i have been taking the original orange suboxin for about 1 year and a half.went to the pharmacy to fill my suboxin script and recieved the generic suboxin.i did try them and 1 it taste worse to me than the orange suboxin and 2 it barelly worked for me.i have been having slight withdrawls and it has barelly helped at all.how do i get the original suboxin back.i cant teke those generic.they are horrible!! ## If you have insurance, most companies demand that you be given a generic first, if one is available. So, if this is applicable, then you'll need to inform your doctor of the problem, because they can designate your prescription as 'brand medically necessary', in order to get them to cover the name brand for you, again. The other alternative, if you're paying for it you...

I apologize if this isn't the right place to post this, but I need some help, and information. I'm on Suboxone Sublingual films. I have been for 6 months. Every month, I get my prescription filled at the local Walgreen's, and I have always played out of pocket (absolutely NO insurance, benefits, or anything else). It's incredibly expensive ($500/m), but this is the first time I'm really struggling for it. My prescription is ready for pickup, and I need it. But I won't have any money until Tuesday. There's absolutely nothing I can do about that. Is it possible to get the prescription, and pay for it at a later date (just a few days)? Obviously, this has never happened before. I've always played it, one trip, in cash. This is the first time, and I'm rea...

I'm on 20 mgs of suboxone for 2 years my body seems to kick the drug out fast I always fell sick after about 6 hours after each dose I fell withdrawal symptoms. I lift weights alot I started taking a pro hormone and now I'm really sick for a couple of days no matter how much I take I keep going into like full withdrawals my question is can these hormones cause your metabolism to eat up the drug out of my system could it cause withdrawals I'm in desperate need of info. And please no comments on how dangerous taking them are or I shouldn't mix it. Thanks so much for reading and hopefully your answers ## Based on my research there aren't any drug interactions listed between Suboxone and Prohormones of Testosterone; deeming them safe to take together. This does not neces...

Hello, I'm starting the prerequisite withdrawal period before my first suboxone appointment. I would desperately like to know if I can take a xanax or maybe a soma during this period to ease symptoms? Thanks so much for your time... ## Due to the nature of your question, this may be something best answered by your doctor who can make a more informed decision based on your medical records, current health, age, weight, whether or not you're taking any other medications, etc. However based on my research, as long as you're not taking the xanax or soma with suboxone at the same time, you should be fine. Reason being is that there are drug interactions between those medications that may result in increased side effects such as dizziness, drowsiness, and difficulty concentrating. ...

6 years ago I suffered 3rd & 4th degree burns from a terrible electrical accident. I was away from my AA program for 12 of my 15 years of sobriety. I started drinking heavily and using coke to anesthetize. I volunteered to rehab & dr put me on Suboxone for my pain. This drug was designed for long long treatment of chronic pain. I weed off Suboxone and am currently on Ultram, my pain laughs at this drug. Drs tell me I will need to be on pain meds rest of life. Last three Drs will not touch me because I had been on Subxone. Anyone know how I restart with a Dr with low level of narcotic that will understand or ignore my Suboxone ordeal? ## Hi Craig, From an outside perspective, it sounds to me like the best way to approach this situation would be to discuss up front and honestly wh...

I am questioning a pill. The doc said to my friend it is a new suboxone however i cannot locate it anywhere. Its is a round orange pill with an orange flavor with the imprint of a dagger on one side i think and i cant see what the other side says. it may have a coating of sorts on it. Has anyone heard of this new suboxone shape? ## normal suboxone 8mg tablet is kindof big, octogon shape with small cross shape on one side as well. It is not a "new" suboxone tablet, however. If you bring it to any pharmacist and show it, they will confirm what it is. They won't take it from you either. Hope this helped. Thanks, Grace Patient Services Manager ## the newer generic suboxone pills that are round instead of octagon and dont have the cross on it either, they are definitely suboxones...

I have been taking subutex for 3 months, this past week my mom washed half my script. I got a suboxone strip today, but havent taken it yet. Got to go back for my weekly visit Tuesday, sometimes they do random drug screen. I am getting sick from not having my regular subutex. Can I take the suboxone? And if they test my urine Tuesday, will they tell the difference between subutex and suboxone? ## Anyone with the knowledge about these two meds, could you please help me out on this? I am starting to feel withdrawl symptoms. I have the suboxone strip on hand, just hesitant to take any of it, due to to random drug test. ## Uh yeah subutex and suboxone are two completely different medications. Suboxone has an opiate antagonist in it and subutex does not. If you get tested you're gonna mo...

My husband has been on this drug for over a week to kick o.c.s. and feels like he's still in withdrawal. He's very weak and says he would be alright if he snorted an o.c. So is there another medication besides this drug and Methadone? ## laura i have been on sub for 3 yrs. it is a miracle drug. how much was your husband abusing and what is his daily sub intake? ## Maybe he needs a higher dose. Also, if he's taking any other opiates, it will react with the suboxen and he will go into withdrawal. ## He may need a higher dose. I started on 8mg twice a day. Make sure he lets the whole thing dissolve under his tongue. There are some meds that will have a bad reaction with this drug. I take a narcotic for migraines and I can't take it with Suboxone. I know that I shouldn't...

I have never used illegal drugs. I do have narcolepsy and severe degenerative disc disease. I take provigil 400 mg, nucynta er 400mg, oxycodone 15 mg 4x/day, buprobrion 150 er and 75 mg daily. I had a urine drug screen yesterday which showed positive for methadone and suboxone. They have sent it out for further testing. Did this happen because of the medications I am on or do these type of urine drug screens make a lot of mistakes like this? Will the more detailed test come back accurate?

I don't want oxy anymore and I am real leary of starting suboxone again because of the anxiety associated with it. what can i do. I have fibromyalgia and have just started 50 milligram patches to contend with that but the pain is unbearable.and the alazopram{ 1 milligram} 4 times a day brings me little releaf. Please educate me as to what to do. ## The tablet with the R 039 marking contains 2mgs of Alprazolam, the active ingredient in Xanax, which is a Benzodiazepine that's most commonly used to treat anxiety and nervous disorders. What do I expect? This is my recent and personal experience on Suboxone and withdrawals from pain pills. This just happened this week and I'm on day 4. On Wednesday, November 28th, 2012 I went to the doctor to get inducted for the suboxone treatment. My usage of opiates was only pain pills, hydrocodone, vicoden, lortabs, lorcets, etc. I used about 75-150 mgs a day for about 2 months straight. (on and off the pills for about 2 years) One week before my induction I tapered my pain pill use down to 30-45 mgs a day. This Tuesday (the day before my induction) I used 47.5 mgs at 3pm. My appointment was the next morning at 9:15 am. I was administered my first suboxone film at 10am but only half of a film. (8mg/2mg) My doctor and I waited about an hour and noticed I felt fine. Not peachy, j...

I've been on suboxone for about 8 months. Starting dosage was 2 -8mg a day.after months I've tapered down to about .50-.30mg very very small piece and been on that for a month, it's not as bad but I'm still tired and get light heat flashes. Any thoughts on what I should do from here? ## Is your intention to fully get off of Suboxone anytime soon? If so, I think you're certainly on the right track. Usually for drugs like this the safest way to stop taking them is to tapper off in fractions (actually cut into pieces) and these smaller pieces can be taken in place of the regular dose for a period of several weeks until the body is no longer dependent upon them. Based on the amount you're taking now, I'd say your just about out of the woods! Another user on here ...

Every single day of my life is a living hell. I wake at 3-3:30am. I am cold to my very core. I am nauseous. My head aches. My anxiety is such that thinking of living another day in this condition is intolerable and death is my favorite fantasy, it brings me the only hope I can imagine. Were I not so weak, I would have killed myself long ago. My legs are numb and moving is painful. I roll out of bed and cut a tiny strip of Suboxone off of my daily regimen to help me cope. My brain is flooded with powerful, addictive drugs. For a time my condition improves leaving only the empty helpless feeling that only the truly dependant know. My life becomes muted. No color, no happiness, no hope. One long string of misery that reaches to the landscape without end. I am worthless and cause nothing bu...

To anyone who might want to help or give advice~ First, I want to say that I hope I am at the right place/forum, I tried one other forum but not sure if anyone will see it or help *crosses fingers*. I am hoping you will see this and can reply as soon as possible. (as well as anyone else who might be reading) I am a 29 year old, newly single mother and I have been on pain medication for 9 years. I have severe endometriosis, a tumor in my left ear/head called Cholesteatoma and I was just diagnosed with an Auto-Immune Disorder which has put me in so much pain daily that I can hardly get normal daily functions done at all (as well as other health issues, but those are the biggest). I just recently I have made the decision to get off of opiots/narcs (I used to take 30mg of oxycodone 8 times ...

what does suboxins show up as in drug screen ## In a standard drug test suboxone should not show up, unless they give you a urine test. I did find that it can stay in your system for 2 - 5 days in urine, up to 90 days in hair, up to 3 days in blood. Hope that helps! Do you have any more questions or information to add? Please post back if you do. ## Does suboxin show up in occ level 3 or do they need to test it differently??

I have been hooked on roxis and methadone for the past 10 years. Before I got on suboxone I quit taking the methadone for two weeks but was taking 400 mg of roxis per day. I got put on subs exactly 1 week ago at 8 mgs per day but am currently down t to taking 3 mgs a day and plan on tapering to 2 mg tomorrow and tapering to .5 mg by the end of the second week and then quitting. My question is once I quit the subs at .5 how bad will my withdraws be?? I only wanted to stay on subs for two weeks so I didn't get addicted. All of these horror stories of coming off of subs made me decide to only stay on them for two weeks. Will someone please reply and let me know how bad these withdraws will be once I quit??? All responses are greatly appreciated. Thanks ## Hello, Based on my research, s...

Has anyone had good results on Suboxone? ## if you are bad on oxy or dope i would recommend suboxone, if you are just on percs or vics or some other less powerful opiate i would tough out the wd's as they are alot shorter then the wd's from subs. I am still trying to kick the subs. they keep you coming back for me however they do give you your life back if you are in the gutter. ## Yes. I was heavily addicted to oxycodone, taking between 120-160 milligrams once or twice daily. I've been on suboxone for four days with no withdrawals at all and absolutely no cravings. of course will power plays a huge role but if you truly want to quit this medication is the way to go. ## i was using percocets at first , as many as 20 a day, then to oxys, as many as 10 (80's) a day ! subox...
