I have to take my monthly Suboxone urine screen but also smoke marijuana. My doc is ok with it because I use it as a sleep aid that's it. But I'm smoking more than I have told her. I don't have to pass the urine screen for weed, but I need to make it look minimal. Is there a way to do this without messing up the whole screen? I could just be honest with her but I don't want her to really tell me to stop. ## I think that if your doctor is fine with you smoking weed and it's okay to have it in your system then I don't think you should try to do anything to cover it up. Unless they send it off to do a level check..all it will say is positive for weed. Good luck!

I had as bad a opiate habit as I have ever heard of from anyone until six years ago. During my final days, I was taking 12+ 80 mg Oxycontin a day. That's right, a day. that's the equivalent of 180 regular 5 mg Percocets a day when I finally OD'd on Christmas day. I was a 55+ yr old professional, married for 32 yrs, with 3 adult children. Sadly, they were prescribed by my Doctor. It's unbelievable now that I think back on it. Started out 1 perc 5 mg at a time 30 yrs earlier for my back. Loved them and kept it up until BOOM. Anyway, I tried many times to get off, but when I OD'd it was definitely time to succeed and I started on Suboxone 8/2mgs 3 times a day and have been on them for 6 years. I got my life back and it has been pretty normal since(if any life is normal)...

Does my Dr. Have the right to tell me to chat on a suboxone website, print out the conversation and bring it to his office? ## Hi Uncomfortable! I don't think he has a right 2 tell u 2 do that. There r personal things on the site that u have a right 2. Is this part of your treatment ? If u absolutely have 2 do it, I wouldn't tell him the name u use. Besides , he can go on the site himself and read. That's BS!!! ## Hi, Are you getting any counceling with your suboxone treatment? It sort of goes with the sub treatment. Some insurance companies will give you a hard time and threaten not to cover the subs if your not getting it. I don,t know how it works with a dr. prescribing it. I am trying get myself clean off H n just took a 6mg suboxone strip. Will it help if so long till it works? ## Hi Kitty! B 4 the suboxone will work, u MUST b in withdrawals. Otherwise, it won't work and can make u feel worse. As far as time, they usually take about 15 minutes 2 work. If the g don't work, u may need more. It all depends on how much and how long u were using. But, if you want 2 get clean, u r going 2 need more than a day or few 2 do it. U should go 2 a clinic or suboxone dr and do it properly. If u r not already doing that. Remember, the main thing is 2 b withdrawing b 4 u take the suboxone.

My Suboxone Strips are straight from the pharmacy so they have never been opened but they are "alot smaller" now and Iam mad but I dont know how to ask Suboxone manufactorers..my pharmacy would think Im crazy probly so hhmmm? ## Hi CLB! Im on the films and as of last month ( May) I haven't noticed a difference. But, I'll know when I pick them up again next week. If I do c a diffence, u can bet your butt I will ask my Dr or pharmacist. There's nothing wrong with asking. They r NOT going 2 think u r crazy. That's their job, 2 answer ???. The Dr didn't decrease your amount of mg, did he? If u find out anything, let me know, please. And, I'll find out next week.

Your strips may be from a differant maufacturer. The pharmacist would know whats going on. Call the store you got them from. If you do would you let us know what he said in case someone else runs into these smaller ones. ## I will call my pharmacy & ask if they got them from a different manufactorer & let u know what they say...yesss the strips DO NOT LAST ME AS LONG AS THE PILLS DID but they quit making the namebrand Suboxone pills..I didnt like the generic pills so I use the strips now.

I have a friend who is on Suboxone, and yet she has gone back to mixing it with other drugs. I was put on Suboxone Nov.13,2013.It is the best decision I've ever made!I went to my classes/groups 3 times a week for much longer than was required because I was afraid of not having the support and routine.I finally felt strong enough to graduate and start aftercare.My first or second UA (once I was going to aftercare only)came back from Ameritech Labs...The results?...NO SUBOXONE IN MY SYSTEM.I tried to tell my councilor that I take my meds the same way as I was told to from the begining of taking Suboxone.My daily routines have not changed since I graduated outpatient and started aftercare.He even went as far as to say that my UA had been watered down.This Suboxone has saved my life,Literally!I do not tamper w/my UA's.I have NO reason to.I Sure In The HELL don't skip do...

Will suboxine show up on a urine test for probation. Have a friend who is about to get out of jail and wants to stay off pills. Can't afford Dr visit right away but has access to suboxone. Wants to start them to prevent relapsing. Would sub. Show up on test or would it require specific test for it. Thanks

Anybody else on suboxone and a ton of meds for bipolar? I currently tak: suboxone 12mgs/day-lamictal 100 mgs/day - seroquel 100mgs/day - zoloft soo mgs/day -clonodine 2mcgs/day -Lyrica (for anxiety) 150 mgs/day -xanax 4mgs./day -dexadrine 30mgs/day.and now a water pill, due to Lyrica swelling.... I am so sick of it all....have been on 22 different meds in 1 1/2 years.... went into detox for opiate abuse.....did fine and went on suboxone but about 4 months later, went into total breakdown....completely suicidal...should have been hospitalized, but i adamantly refused after having been in patient for opiate addiction.... Nothing seems to be working....I only get moments of "ok"...never great....and if it is, I am told I am manic.... I just don't know how to go about this anymo...

I lost my daughter to CPS almost over a year ago for one failed test, me and my husband both have been clean for the entire time trying to get her back. I'm on Suboxone and have been for 3 years now they want me off of it or I cant get her back isn't that going against my rights for one? And last Tuesday my husband who has never done it failed for it! Instead of thinking he reacted by thinking they'd think he took my meds n I'd get in trouble so he said a Friend gave him one I'm like why did u admit doing something that you didn't? Now they are saying i'm not failing for it when I know its in my system HELLO I take it twice a day and whats worse is I have court Monday and now they are going to tell the Judge that they aren't recommending her to come back ...

I'm Canadian. Not sure if this forum provides Canadian answers but here goes. I'm currently taking Suboxone for opiate abuse. I'm down to 8 mgs a day and was up to 16 at the highest dose. I started pain killers for a very real pain problem but quickly lost control of my prescribed dose and started buying additional pills. It became a huge problem and nearly cost me everything. It did cost me my vehicle and a lot of other material things. Don't care now. It also cost me my wife's trust. That I hate and am working on trying to get it back. I'm miserable though. Finally going for a visit with a psychiatrist in a couple of days. I've had a lot of trouble with concentration for the last 6-9 months and my Docs think ADD. One mentioned Concerta and another Ritalin. ...

How long does a person have to stay on suboxone? I heard a long time, sometimes. ## Hi bella, Some people stay on subs for years. They may taper down to just a few mgs but stay on for a long time. Some people will stay on a high dose for a long time. Some folks will just use it for a quick detox for maybe a week. Then some folks will use it for a half a year or so. Once some people get straight for awhile and are getting counceling and going to meetings or what ever they will have there Dr. taper dose down and eventually they jump off and can live a straight life. I don,t think theres any set time limit when it comes to subs.

Hi Everyone ! Just wanted 2 let u people know of something I was told. I live in RI and we get some bad snow storms and , sometimes , hurricanes. My Dr and his nurse had advised me 2 put aside extra medication each month incase of something happening where I can't get 2 the pharmacy. Or, the pharmacy might b closed due 2 bad weather. Sometimes, the pharmacy doesn't have the suboxone or my other medications in stock, and have 2 order them. So , what I'll do is call my scripts in 1 day early and put that extra day away . They say it's good 2 have. 7-10 days worth, put away. Then u just switch them out with new ones b 4 they expire. It's a good thing. 2 do, if u can . I am prescribed 3 8 MG tablets a day, which most of the time I only take one maybe two depending on how early I wake up and how late I go to sleep. I am also on Kps for my anxiety and Lexapro 20 MG for my depression. This past month I got my tablets filled the day after Thanksgiving, which was Black Friday (UGH) and I have been feeling horrible off of them ever since. Could I have received a bad batch of pills? I know they are discontinuing them and we will be on strictly strips from here on out, or could it be that no matter how many I take I have reached my ceiling effect already this soon?? I am hoping that I have not reached this b/c I am having to take anywhere now from 3-4 a day sometimes b/c I feel that bad if I do not take more.
