I'm on suboxone taper. I share some with my bf. he had no ins. can't get in program. We are both clean so no judging please. Last week I took none over weekend and 4 mg on Mon then tested negative using dip stick. I took 1 mg yesterday & 2 mg late afternoon/evening today. Will I test positive tomorrow afternoon? I am a bartender and about to start suboxone. I have been taking pain pills for almost ten years which started from a torn Achilles. The money I spent on pills is ridiculous. I do on occasion do coke just to keep me awake. Will it be bad while on suboxone? What risks will it have? Please be honest if u have done this.

I think I'm one of the very few that is hypersensitive to the other ingriendent in suboxone (not the opiate)naloxine or however you spell it. Dear VerWon, I now know the difference between suboxone and subtext. But, why would one Dr. Choose one over the other? As I said in my prior post, Suboxone includes Naloxone to prevent the abuse of other narcotics, while someone is being treated with it for addiction and that is exactly why it is usually preferred over Subutex. Well, i foolishly got into H. I am a life long addict. Opiates for 15 yrs. A few questions. I am poor and on molina medicaid, NO DRS. take state insurance. 2) i have heard suboxone is a nightmare in the long run. The wds are supposed to be HORRENDOUS! Yet i feel i need subs, at least a few times a weeks to steer clear of H. Any advice? Anybody ever get subs thru PACE in Oakland county? My life is a nightmare w 3 yrs of H use behind me. How do you use these pills to kick an opiate habit without gaining a dependence upon them? ## Hello, Witchy! How are you? This is an 8/2mg Suboxone tablet (generic), so you don't. People generally end up being dependent on it for awhile and then they are tapered off very slowly to enable them to become drug free. Can 8 of the teva 833 be harmful to me if I take a suboxone 8/2 mg strip cause iv seen people do it. iv not tried it I'm just trying to help a buddy out I told him not to do it.another thing is he takes 3 of the strips. please let me know I would appreciate it a lot ## Hello, Frog! How are you? Very wise advice to give him. Yes, it may be harmful. Each tablet contains 1mg of Clonazepam, so taking 8 especially with the Suboxone, risks overdose. This could be fatal due to the fact that both of them cause depression of the central nervous system. Both of these medications also carry the risk of being habit forming. Is there a peach colored round suboxone with 54 375 imprinted on it? ## Good question. I'm wondering the same thing. The doctor in charge of my suboxone clinic has decided to stop the program and is making everyone taper off. I guess she is the suboxone god, taking charge of everyone's decision about the length of their recovery. Anyway, when I went to fill the script she wrote to start my detox it was this new colored and numbered suboxone pill. This pill is peach colored, my old pills were orange. I am on pain management. My back was fractured and my leg was shattered from a motorcycle accident. I take oxycodone 15 mg and recently the doctor added Fentanyl 75 mg and dropped my monthly oxycodone prescription to 4 times a day instead of 5. The Fentanyl does not stop the intense throbbing pain, and I no longer receive social security because I went back to college and with the medicine they said I can function, which I could. A month ago, I tested positive for suboxone. I have never taken suboxone in my life other than one time several years ago, when they tried it for pain management and I became violently ill and never touched it again. My question is I have taken suboxone for awhile now and for the past few months I've been tapering off of them I'm to the point of where about a 4mg strip will last for probably around 10 days. My question is, is that even enough to be helping me or is it all just in my head? I'm just wondering because I'm quitting one way or the other and just want to know if the withdrawals will be as bad as others because of my low doses or if anyone else has tried it this way? Will it be out of my system by Monday 8:00am? ## Hi francis, Because of Suboxone's long half life, an accurate answer to your question will also depend on how much you took as well as how frequently you take it... or if this was just on those two occasions only? However, I can say that from what I've seen on various detection charts, that buprenorphine can still be present in your urine for up to 7 days after you've taken it. Just keep in mind though that this is only intended to be an estimate since levels may vary based on several individual factors as well (i.e. things like - age, weight, metabolism, diet, kidney problems, etc, etc). I'm really gtn desperate to get on computer and talk bout my addiction. I'm in MS and use take 15-20 pain pills a day if possible n if I cldnt gtm ID tourture you if u was near me n loved me til I did. I have chronic back pain from a sports injury several years ago. Since the suboxone tablets are being discontinued and my doctor cannot subscribe the medication for pain management any longer, he wants me to switch to fentanyl patches. My doctor is also unable to subscribe suboxone film which is replacing the tablets. How do you switch from suboxone to fentanyl patches, when suboxone blocks all opiates?
