Hello. I really hope someone can help. I just got on Suboxone and am at 24mgs day. Still going through withdrawal its not holding me throughout the day I'm still not sleeping well and I'm still throwing up and nauseaous all the time. My skin feels like its crawling and I feel like complete crap. Lots of anxiety. I was on a Methadone maintenance program for a really long time 10+ yrs. I switched to Suboxone after being tapered off of 160mgs Methadone in 20 days. I waited approx 3 days after i was tapered off the program before I started my induction. I ended up having to do a total of 3 induction days. I've been on 24mgs for 5 days now. Still not working all that great. It's been so awful. So after going through all this at the same time, one of my teeth broke and the roo...

For chronic pain in lower back ## Hello, Jackie! How are you? Suboxone contains the active ingredients Buprenorphine and Naloxone, it used to treat pain and drug addiction. The FDA classifies it as an opiate, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

Can I take 8 ml of suboxone if I took 2 panidine forte a few hours ago ## Hello, Gojo! How are you? No, you cannot take Suboxone, until you are in full withdrawal from all other opiates, otherwise, it could throw you into dangerous precipitated withdrawals. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. I took a suboxone today. Is it safe to take talwin tomorrow? Will it work? ## Hello, Kiki! How are you? Nope, the Naloxone in the Suboxone will most likely block it from working. Usually, you have to wait about 3 days, unless your doctor instructs you otherwise. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. I'm an addict in search of relief from withdrawal symtoms associated with opiate addiction. I am going in to start suboxone treatment in 6 days but I need to be clean for 48 hours prior to seeing the doctor to get on the suboxone. I was just wondering if there is anything that will ease the pain and anxiety during those 48 hours. I've had addiction problems all my life and am absolutly an advocate of suboxone. I had great success with it for 2 years before I had 3 very tramatic things happen in a couple month spam and during that time was introduced to meth, to get off the meth I started opiates again. Now ready to try and work a program and to be able to live a functioning life, I go back to suboxone. Its a vicious cycle and I can tell anyone that has the luxury of living with ...

I don't take suboxone everyday, just a half of a quarter every 3 to 4 days for about a week or week and a half now. So plz someone tell me if it will be out of mine and the baby's system by the time of birth? I am due Oct.15th, 2015. Plz and thanks. I am a first time mom and I try not to hurt me or my child and I don't want cps involved in anything. I just need advice. ## It would be best, for your safety and that of your baby, to inform your doctor that you've taken it and get proper medical assistance. I understand that you're scared, but you could be putting both of your lives at risk by not telling them. Passport no longer covers my Suboxone prescription. I live in Kentucky and desperately need my medication. Is there any insurance that will cover my Suboxone? ## Jessica, many state Medicaid programs are no longer covering it due to the cost. You can check with the other Health Care Plans that Kentucky Medicaid has. If it is a Kentucky Medicaid decision, then none of the plans will cover it. If it is only the Health Plan that you belong to, it eis possible that one of the other Health Plans may cover it. But, you may or may not be able to change plains right away. You can go to each of the websites for the Medicaid Health Plans and put Suboxone in the search bar. It seems that only pregnant women and those under 21 are eligible for addiction treatment through Kentucky Medicaid. ## Thank...

Hi after a ten year opiate addiction I started to run out of money. I was highly functional for the 10 years home owner, business, wife, the hole nine. it was money and my own self torture that brought this to a halt. so 8 months ago I went to a treatment center in Florida not knowing if I would ever be normal again. I found myself completely incompasitated (I was in a wheel chair for two days) the dr there put me on a 5 day taper from 4 mil gram sub down to 2 in 5 days omg it worked within 3 weeks I was better and ready to go home. I felt better than I ever have so I went home and went to meetings. good things began to happen and as we do how quickly I forgot I was a sick person and stopped the meetings when the stress of everyday life came back 8 months later. I relapsed in a matter o...

Tenncare has completely stopped paying for the strips so now theyre paying for bunavail. These are nasty. Guess theres gonna be lots of complaints. ## Yes, I feel your pain. I may sound crazy, but I do not think it fair that TN care can make a deal with one company. I am on a low dose so they let me have the option to stay on strips and pay cash. That's what I'm doing for now. I wish I could just quit but I have tried and it seems to hard to me for now. The clinic says I'm sober....I feel like its cheating to say it and be on suboxone. ## I agree with you Shelley, that if any sort of substance is that difficult to kick, I too would feel like I was cheating by not being sober (which could defeat the purpose of taking suboxone anyway). Who would've thought a drug that is u...

How are you? I'm sorry about the kidney problem. Usually, you only have to stop the Suboxone for a few days, before surgery. Your surgeon should be able to provide you with the specific time frame for stopping it. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. I was taking Suboxone for 6 months and I recently just stopped taking this medication. I received terrible flu like symptoms with terrible pains in my legs and thighs. I must preface that, that I do have a back disorder {spinal stenosis} but I feel since I stopped Suboxone I am in more pain than ever before. Please advise ## It's probably too late now but what you were experiencing is withdrawl from suboxone. It has the same type of withdrawal that other opiates do, it just isn't quite as bad I've heard. Anyway, hope you got through it! Take care! ## What would be the best way to detox off Heroin, without going to an in patient setting, or replacing with Suboxone, or methadone. I'm tired of the usual treatment for addict by replacing another drug + keeping me on a back s...

I took a 4mg at 1pm, then a 2mg at 3pm. Still in withdrawals. It's now 7pm. Can I take another 2 mg dose? I don't think I have gone into PAW. My last ms contin dose of 30mg was at 7pm last night. Help please. ## Hello, Missy! How are you feeling? I'm sorry about the problem that you're having. It sounds like you may not have waited long enough, after taking the MS Contin, so the Suboxone may be pushing you into some withdrawal. Generally, unless your doctor instructs otherwise, you have to be in full withdrawal from all other opiates, before taking it, which usually takes 24 hours, or more. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipat...

I have been addicted to 150mcg. of fentanyl patches. I'd like to know why suboxone is taking so long to make me feel like I can function again? Took it before to get off methadone and it worked great. I have been on 16mg of suboxone for 45 days but now I have no energy and feel like I was hit by a train. Is there anything I can do or take to function again? ## Hello, Teresa! How are you? You may not be on the right dose, yet. Suboxone can be dosed up to 32mgs a day. Have you informed your doctor of the problem, yet? right now I'm getting the films and don't like to use them if at all possible I have tried the orange tablets and they seem to help me a lot better I was wondering because right now I have insurance through the ACA or some call it Obama Care Insurance if anyone knows what insurance company covers the tablets instead of the films

Updated

Same orange pill with imprint "2084 at top/with a fancy V" at the bottom has been identified as suboxone 8mg/2mg it is used in treatment for opiate addiction the new formulated should be availble in us pharmacies everywhere late November although a few states including Ky, Fl, Ga, and Tn carry the new fourmula, the reason in the new FDA approved suboxone pill is the fact that it has none of that dreaded orange taste people hate personally and has a higher longer ceiling affect as a ex addict and suboxone maintance DR. Myself the orange does not bother me but the patients of mine that have ran across the new formula says it seems to work in five minutes instead of 30 minutes and alao seem to last longer. So hopefully if your state doesnt already have them they will surface at you...

Ok I have been taking suboxone film for a while now an I want to know is it ok to take a suboxone pill I heard they are the same but I'm still sceptical would I be able to take in same day or would I have to wait ## Hello, Mandy! How are you? As long as your doctor approves, you should be able to switch smoothly to the tablets and just replace your next dose with it. Hello, I have been reading all kinds of forums regarding opiate use, withdrawl, and suboxone. I'm ready to jump in now to be able to have others to support me because, honestly, I'm a closet addict, no one knows my addiction but myself, very sad but true. Some history, I'll try to be short and simple...... I had a car accident in 2007 which wrecked my back, I'll never forget, that's the day I took my first, hydrocodone. It was not a big deal then, 30/month I was good. Well then I got pregnant shortly thereafter so I stopped with no problems, I would died before I took a chance with my daughters life or well being. Fast forward 9 months, c-section delivery, then I was introduced to my first ever oxy.! Wow what a feeling! It took years of one a day, then 2, then 3, fin...
