It's been proven scientifically and medically that some people are born with a genetic predisposition to have addictive tendencies. Learn more Suboxone details here. They can fight it, of course, if they are aware that they are prone to it, or know that it tends to run in their immediate family, but it is never easy. Almost anything they take, even substances that aren't known to be addictive and habit forming, may cause problems for these types...
I have been take 1/2 of 8mgs of suboxone. I tried cutting back on my own and went into withdrawals, only because I was going to a heart Dr and did not know if he was going to do a procedure, which he did not. I told my Dr about it and now she wants me to go from a 1/2 8 milligram to cutting the half into. 1/8 that's how I went into withdraws . I don't know what to do. Janet. ## Hello, Janet! How are you? It is normal to experience some withdrawal effects, when lowering the dosage of such a medication. As listed by the FDA, they may include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, headache and depression. However, they should not be severe enough to be dangerous. The best thing to do is follow your doctor's instructions and take it easy for a few days, while doing so. Is there anything el...
I have been taking the white half moon subs for 3 months now , and today I picked up my script and realized a Roy d orange colored pill , none the less , this me generic sub is even more disgusting then the half moon pill and feel as though they do not work... Has anyone out there experience the same thing ?? ## Same for me. I had to take 2 1/2 8mg pills to feel comfortable. Not cool. I wish the d****bags that approve this crap would go back to making the stoppies, or stop signs from a few years back. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.. Unless, ya know, they weren't making QUITE as much money off of them as they are now, probably. Then sure, f*** everyone over in that case. Greedy. ## I have been on suboxone for about 7 years. I used to have a bad oxycontin addiction, and thro...
I used to take methadone primarily. Before that perks. My access was to liquid methadone. I would take approx 25 mgs in the morning and an additional 10-15 mgs at dinner. Enough was enough and I got in a suboxone program. Now I know opinions will vary on the best way to get clean. I feel this is currently my best option. I run a store, working 60+ hours a week, 6 days a week. Unfortunately I've already missed 4 days due to the flu and being dope sick. I was suppose to get my script for suboxone last night but the pharmacy messed up. So I ran out and got 2 perk 15s. I took one at 12:30 to help me sleep. Then took half at 9 and the other half at 10:30 or so. When can I take my suboxone? Dr suggested I wait till either last night or this morning but that was before the pharmacy messed ...
Hello, I have been taking Subs now for almost 2 years and it has been an absolute hassle trying to find them from different people at different and much needed times. I have Aetna insurance and I have heard things like I can't be using suboxone already for me to get on them or they will not cover it. Is anyone recently familiar with Aetna and suboxone? I know their policy has changed recently with a handful of drugs and suboxone I believe was one. Thank you ## Hello, David! How are you? I think you'll get the most accurate information by calling Aetna and asking them. You can reach their CS line at 800-872-3682 between 7am and 7pm ET. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I'm doing good, thank you. Okay, I will give a call, but just one more thing. I am nervous to give ...
I've taken them for almost 2 years. I am finally almost off them completely and have started nursing school. We take random drug tests and if you fail your removed from the program. I am wondering if they will test for suboxone? ## Following....I hope you get an answer soon. I'm in a similiar situation and can't get an answers anywhere. It sucks because I'm in such a low does but just can't get to the end of this just yet. Been tapering down and I think my mind is playing tricks on me
I'm about to start school to be an LPN in Pennsylvania. I have been on an extremely low dose of Suboxone for a few months. I am scared that when I take my drug test it will show up. Does anyone know anything about Suboxone and drug testing in the state of Pennsylvania?
UpdatedThis may sound a little crazy but i was wondering if through body fluids from sex, oral, ect, can your partner become addicted to the chemicals your ingesting? My name is Max and ive been on suboxone for about 10 years. I am one of the first people in new england to get it for pain. Before i was on methadone and i quit that cold turkey. THE HARDEST THING IVE EVER DONE IN MY LIFE TIME. I was on 265 a day for about two years. It all started with a back injury and pain pills not knowing how addictive they were, blah blah blah, but my girlfrind now of two years seems to get what seems to me opiate withdrawals and she doesn't do any drugs. We have a very healthy sex life and i was just wondering if it was possible for her to get addicted threw my seed if you know what i mean? I hope you ...
UpdatedI need a Suboxone Dr. in the Huntsville/Madison, AL area asap. I am already on suboxone, but it looks like my doctor may be leaving the area and I really don't want to go to a random Dr. just to find out he's awful. I've already done that once with a doctor scamming me and my insurance and I really don't want to do it again. If anyone knows of a good doctor in the area, preferably one with availabilities (but I will put myself on as many waiting lists as needed, so go ahead with any good ones that are full that you may know of), I would really appreciate the help! Thanks! ## Hello, Carrie! How are you? Actually, there is a search engine on the website that you can use to check for doctors in your area by zip code. You can find it at Suboxone.com click here. This is a nar...
I am trying to find out if someone allergic to opiates (yet is seeking assistance for opiate addiction) would have a good chance of being allergic to Suboxone/buprenorphine? Technically, suboxone and subutex are classified as narcotics, but being partial does anyone think the same allergy would be triggered? ## If they have a genuine allergy to all opiates, then they will most likely also react to this one, there is no way to know for sure, unless they try it, though. However, one important question to ask is what symptoms did they experience, when they took opiates, that they consider to due to an allergic reaction? Quite often, the symptoms that many people think mean they are allergic to something, are actually just normal side effects. The FDA lists them as possibly including nausea...

Can't afford to wait more than a few days and can't go more than twice a month, to the doctor, because I can't afford to make all these trips! I know nothing N Btown will, so, any suggestions would be much appreciated! God Bless Us ALL! ## You can use the search engine at Suboxone.com to check for doctors in your area. Is there anything else I can help with?
I'm on 10 mg methadone 4 times a day now and going to start suboxone but the doc said i have to take a drug test and my levels had to show up less then 60 in my body how many a day can i take to get below that 60 on the test? ## To properly use Suboxone, you actually have to be in the beginning stages of withdrawal, that means severely dropping your Methadone. I am not sure how much that would be in a day, did your doctor give you any instructions? ## My husband says he is leaving me cuz he cant take dealing with me and my addiction any longer. I am out to prove to him and my kids that i can take my life back. He hates the methadone clinic and with good reason. so i did my research and got the info about changing to suboxone. I am so very very scard of all of this. I just really nee...
If you keep going back to DOC and suboxone, it will take more of the subs to feel relief. Why is that? ## It is normal for your body to get used to anything that you ingest for a long period of time, and for it to eventually stop working as well for you, so you require a dosage adjustment, according to the NIH. It doesn't happen to everyone and the time frame can vary from person to person in those that experience it. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?
So i got 2 8mg/2mg strips to try because i have a slight dependency to vicodin which i normally take 15 to 30mgs of a day for a little over a year for chronic skeletal back and neck pain do to sever early on set arthritis. So my question is if i take these 2 strips for the next 2 days (one per day half in the morning and the other in the afternoon/night before i go to bed so i can not be in pain when i sleep) how long after i take the last suboxone will an opioid drug like my vicodin, be able to start working in my body again for relieving my body pain? ## Well first, you need to be aware that you have to be in full withdrawal, before you take Suboxone, otherwise it can throw you into dangerous precipitated withdrawals, according to the NIH. Once you take it, it will take about 72 hours...
If I take suboxone can I drink everyday detox teas? It says it's suppose to be healthy for the liver and I wanted to try it. ## Since they are supplement products, they are not checked for possible issues and interactions with actual prescription drugs, so I'm sorry, but I don't have information on this for you. Additionally, you should be informed that there is no medical or scientific proof behind detoxing your body or liver using any of these products, according to the AMA. Your liver and body does its own thing to detox itself and there is really nothing you can do to change the process. That said, there is likely not harm in drinking the tea, though you may want to double check based on the possible ingredients, but all you will really be doing is enjoying a cup of tea....
Hello, I have been on suboxone and recently my doctor prescribed me neurontin... Will I feel the neurontin or will the suboxone just block them out? Thanks! ## Neurontin is not an opiate, so the Suboxone won't block it. It is actually classified by the FDA as an anticonvulsant that can help with certain types or nerve pain and some mood disorders. Its typical side effects are listed as possibly including nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, and weight gain. You should not take them both, unless your doctor is aware that you are taking both and has specifically instructed you to do so, because it may be dangerous, if your doctor isn't monitoring you carefully and hasn't adjusted the dosages. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Verwon is spot on neurontin willnot give you any ...
I've been off norco and oxy for about 5 days now but I've been using a butrans patch to help with withdrawals. I have my first appt. with a suboxone doctor tomorrow. Can I start suboxone while on butrans since it's the same medicine? It doesn't make sense that I'd need to be withdrawing from the butrans first? ## Withdrawing from it should not be necessary, but it is up to your doctor. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. Are you on any other medications?
I have been on 1-4mg of suboxone/day for about 1.5 years and I just took 25mg of ms contin. How long should I wait to dose again on my bupe? ## Until you are in withdrawal, just like when starting Suboxone, to avoid precipitated withdrawals. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## You have kind of helped me. I was on 640mg of ms contin daily. Am now on 16mg of suboxone. I was wondering what would happen if i had a shot of ms contin. Going by what you have said, i wont get a withdrawal from the shot immediately? ## Gayrobbie, That's s really heft...
I have been on a suboxone program for 3 days @ 16mg a day. What will happen if i have a 100mg shot of morphine sulphate? I have previously been told that i need 5 times the amount of morphine as i take of suboxone. So 16mg dose of suboxone means i need at least 80mg of morphine to jump the naloxone? Is that true? And can i take the 100mg shot of morphine without any dramas?
