I have been on Subox for about 4 months now...I started at a very low dose. Only 6 MG a day for the first 2 days (and then after getting very sick on that amount) lowered my dose to only 2 mg total a day. The trouble is I feel really sick...horrible headaches, zero energy, body aches. It feels literally like I am being poisened slowly by the Subox. So why not stop taking it you will ask. I have tried to taper down and the WDs are as bad as coming off Oxy to me. I am now stuck between the option every day to feel like a '10' bad and have serious WDs and not take anything...or take a little Subox , not have the sweats as bad, but still feel like a '8' bad. There seems to be no good option anymore for me. Maybe my brain is truly damaged and will never feel the same without ...

Looking for help for my son. He doesn't have a job and needs help for drug addiction. ## If anyone needs a Suboxone doctor in Atlanta let me know. Mine is great, and I think he has a few openings. ## i am needing to find a suboxone doc in okc area that takes insurance. Any suggestions? ## I DO!! ## I need to find a suboxine dr in wisconsin. ## I'm in atlanta and uninsured. The most affordable suboxone doc I've found charges $250 per month just to write the script (cash only, of course!) and then I pay anywhere from $6-8 per pill. I don't want to go back onto methadone for countless reasons, but it is cheaper and may be my only option. If anyone in/around Atlanta knows a doctor who really wants to help and not just exploit desperate people, please let me know! ## I am a 4...

I have been on 2mg of suboxone for 10 months and have not used any other drugs in this time.(The occasional joint but they dont count!!) I have tapered myself down and in the last week down to .5mg or maybe less of bup and skipping a day here and there. My sleep has been fine but I wake early and feel bit like throwing up if a bad smell hits me and bit of goose bumps and sweating, but not too bad but I normally take bup at this stage. I am going to my dr and was going to ask for some tramal 50mg and tramal sr 200mg to help me through this period. I am all out of bup now and as i was getting off a friend and chemist can not go back on again nor do I want to... after 15 years of heroin abuse I have had enough. I now have non using social supports(otherwise known as friends) a great therapi...

I have been treated for chronic pain for the last 5 months with 2 to 3 suboxone a day but it's not touching the pain from my two bulging discs in my back that are pinching my sciatic nerve plus I have Rheumatoid Arthritis which is also very painful. I also have generalized anxiety disorder. this one one causes me lots of problems including chest pains, panic attacks, and lots of worrying. It also causes me to want to just sit in the bed and not get out of it for fear that someone will judge me. I went to this pain management clinic and they wanted me to keep coming and getting injections in back with no pain relief without giving me maintenance drugs so i won't be in all this pain and I didn't want to go through all that pain from the injections without the maintenance drugs...

Not a pharmacy, a pain management clinic that won't hold it against me that I was being treated for chronic pain for my bulging discs in my back and my RA. I also need help finding a doctor or psychiatrist that will write me back my 2mg Xanax bars 4 times a day for my generalized anxiety disorder. ## I was going to a suboxone clinic several months back and was being treated for chronic pain and generalized anxiety disorder. I stopped going because the suboxone wasn't helping my pain at all. So I finally found a pain management clinic months later and started going there for help or was first starting into the program to see if they could help me with my chronic pain issues from RA and I was also having major pain in my lower back. They sent me for an MRI and an EMG (test where t...

I will save my story until after and ask my question first: Can I give Suboxone to a drug free friend and use their urine sample for the urine drug test that is held in the doctor's office? CONCERNS: 1. I need the metabolites of Suboxone to show up, so I want to know how MUCH suboxone to give her so that it shows up (without making her feel uncomfortable) and approximately how LONG after dissolving should I collect the urine sample. 2nd concern: I have been on subs for a year, about 2-4 mg a day. Since she is taking sub for the first time, I'm wondering if the CONCENTRATION of the drug will matter or show up on the test..if so, then obviously her levels will show differently than mine. I am hoping it only tests for traces of suboxone. My appointment is very soon and any help is ...

Does suboxone show up as an opiate in a urine analysis for the probation department ## It will not ## It will not show up as an opiate, but I've heard from multiple sources that many if not all probation officers now test for buprenorphine (suboxone, subutex) in addition to the standard opiate test. ## Most all places are testing for suboxen among the other urine drug tests. It will show as bupenorphine. It is a big drug out there now and court officers are very aware. It does get screened now ## It doesn't 100% sure I'm prescribed and on probation never shows up. ## Can u tell me wat state ur in? I took half a strip of suboxone on friday and I have to take a drug test soon. What is the best way to get it out of my system? ## Don't take it in the first place..... in all honesty, depending on the type of drug screening you are submitting to, you may be screwed no matter what you do, but drink LOTS of water and stay away from ALL narcotics until your screening.... ## There is really no guaranteed way to make sure it isn't in your system and won't be detected by a drug test, other than the one already stated, which is to not take it. One of the active ingredients in Suboxone is the opiate narcotic Buprenorphine and it can be detectable in a standard urine test for approximately 4 to 5 days, after last dosing. There is no precise time frame that can be given, however, bec...

My boyfriend has battled with heroin addiction for at least 2 years now. He was prescribed to before, but couldn't afford the maintenance program and ended up banging heroin again. He went back to his doctor to get a script for suboxone again last week, and the doctor wouldn't prescribe it to him. I found another dr who can prescribe suboxone nearby, and want to make sure he gets a script because he will die if he doesn't quit using. Does anyone know any reasons why a dr wouldn't prescribe suboxone? Thanks. ## A good doctor is hareder to find than a good dog. Pay cash, don't go to a doctor that has every client in need of pain meds. If you have X-rays and can prove you've taken the meds before, you still may have to shop around. Does anyone know if low doses of suboxone gives small pupils? Keep getting told my pupils are small but I only take .25 mg at a time. Any help would be appreciated. Anything help with this? Possibly caffeine intake? ## Suboxone does contain the opiate Buprenorphine, coupled with Naloxone, and opiates are well known to cause such a pupil response, as a side effect, along with nausea, dizziness, and headache. This article explains why it causes such a side effect. It is one sign that police look for, when they suspect someone is drug user. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Is there a specific amount that will cause small pupils? I take 50mg of methadone everyday for 3 years went up as high as 200 mg but tapered down to 50 but for the last month I have dosed once every 3 days so I have been without methadone for 3 days now when can I take my dose of suboxone utterly scared of pre withdrawal please help ## Hello, Randy! How are you? You have to be in full withdrawal, before taking Suboxone, or it may throw you into dangerous precipitated withdrawals, unless your doctor instructs you otherwise. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I also am on methadone ..and I can tell you...

What narcotic pain meds could my doctor safely prescribe as someone who has been diagnosed with Hepatitis C? Also, I have been prescribed Suboxone. Is this a problem with this diagnosis? I have a terrible doctor who manages to see 20 patients in less than an hour by ushering us all in and out in 5 minutes or less...so I haven't been able to ask her. ## Zydot, Unfortunately in your position the issue isn't with time management or your Hep-C . You must find another provider concerned enough about your welfare to treat you with the respect you deserve. There are narcotic pain meds that can be safely utilized but if your already receiving suboxone I question the effectiveness that these Rx's would have on your pain. I am looking for a doctor who prescribes suboxone in the New Orleans, slidell Louisiana area. I am a single mom with no insurance, can't afford 350 a visit and prescription cost. If you're looking for a cheaper alternative, you might want to check into Methadone clinics in your area, as it is usually much cheaper, since it's been used for a very long time. I was on opiates every day for the last 8 yrs. Doctors put me on Suboxone 6 weeks ago to help me get off of the opiates. Everything is going great except the Dr keeps testing my urine every week and/or a stick test I put in my mouth till it turns blue and the opiates keep showing up. Yesterday he said I wasn't being honest. Why would I pay all this money to see him, pay for the tests, pay for the suboxone and still take opiates when I was told the suboxone blocks the effects. Has this happened to anyone else and if so, How do I prove I'm not lying? ## Suboxone contains the synthetic opiate Buprenorphine and Naloxone. In theory, the Buprenorphine should only show up on a 12 panel test that is specifically looking for it, however, if you do some research online you will find that ...

What is the difference between the suboxone and methadone treatment ## Hi, Same question- What is the difference between methadone and suboxone ? Thanks for helping ! ## I was on methadone maintenance for 5 years this time (clean from other drugs for 4 years) and I just switched to suboxone. If you are just on dope or oxys, you need to figure out what you want. You will feel better/higher off the methadone. about an hour after you take it you get that kind of warm feeling and you can still catch a nod. I switched off methadone b/c I got sick of going to a clinic all the time, putting up with the bull**** and everyone treating you like you are a worthless junkie, even if you are doing everything right and working the program--but I am in a fairly big city, so my experience may be atypica...

I am just curious because once my current employer found out that I was prescribed to suboxone the head manager is telling me that in order to keep my job I must attend NA meetings. I suddenly stopped taking Suboxone when my suboxone Dr. Who was located 35 miles away, was arrested for writing himself xanex prescriptions. Being from a rural area there wasn't a local doctor that prescribed it, so after 3.5 straight years of taking 4 to 6 mg. A day. I suddenly had no medicine and no doctor so I decided to quit. I didn't gradually cut down, I just stopped. This was in June of 2013. I had a SEVERE MIGRAINE FOR 28 days straight the week after I ran out of Suboxone .i was hospitalized 4 times, and given Daladen. I actually thought my brain would explode ! It was horrible . DO NOT quit cold turkey after being in this medicine for a long time . ## So I was only doing about 1mg orally for a week or 2 straight. Now I have a swollen tounge, sores in my mouth and someth...

I am having minor surgery in about eight days. I have been taking about 8mg of Suboxone for opiate addiction for the past four months. The sedation for my surgery typically requires iv fentanyl and iv versed, however since I am taking Suboxone, this combination will not be effective. I was advised to take more than my usual dose of Suboxone the day of the procedure and will only be administered the iv versed. I was told the higher does of sub WITH the versed will make me comfortable enough to tolerate any pain. I am very scared this is not going to help my pain and I will feel everything!!! I know the versed will help anxiety, but will upping the dose of my sub really work for pain??? If so, how much more should I take? ## Usually, a person is told to stop the Suboxone for a few days, b...
