Suboxone Strips To Zubsolv (Top voted first)
UpdatedI'm thinking of switching from suboxone strips to zubsolv next month because I have no insurance. Is there anyone who's switched and liked it?

No you can take it the same time as your normal dose, i didnt notice any difference from the 8mg 2mg suboxone to the 5.7mg 1.4 zubsolv im quiting right now and i am on my second day off after taking 2 zubsolv pills aday for thre months and suboxone 16mgs daily for three years, it definetly sucks right now i should have tapered but im so sick of being in a mental fog and being tired a would rather die than stay on this drug and lyrica , i have reoccuring bouts of shingles and i got tired of taking high dose oxycontin and at first it did help alot but now the side affects of sleeping 10 hours aday and taking high amounts of caffiene just to be able to work is ridiccoulous. I feel very flu like sick with major leg cramps and upset stomach but i can tough that out as long as i dont get any breathing problems im just going to lay here and tough it out. Life is strange sometimes this all started in 2003 i was a bodybuilder and mma fighter and i tore my L 5 disc during a fight and i took some hydrocodone for the first time in my life at age 35 and i had never even used marijuana or any drug at that time i was to busy lifting weights or doing martial arts, but since i had no insurance i couldnt even work without the pain pills and it got even worse after a couple of years my L4 ruptured and then i couldnt do my work as an electrician so i took a job working as a manager of a bodyshop then i learned how to do paintless dent repair and i ended up starting my own business and hired other guys and trained them to do the work and i made them fix the dents on the bottom of the cars because i couldnt bend over and after a couple of years later i got married and got on my wifes insurance and eventually got surgery to replace the bad discs and two months after the surgery i felt better and stopped the pain meds on friday and was sick all weekend and on monday i went to work and i walked in the shop and picked up the tools on the floor to straighten up the shop and the other guys all laughed and cheered for me that they wouldnt have to pick up my tools i left on the ground. It was an awesome day no pain pills and no pain i was so happy till i woke up the next day and i had a itchy rash on my chest armpit and all across my back so i stopped at the drug store and got some poison ivy medicine and i tried it for two days and it got worse so i called my doc and he was on vacation so i went to a quick clinic and he thougt it was poison ivy also so i gave my some pack of pills and i went home and started the pills but by the fourth day it go so bad it smelled like a dead animal so i looked at it in the mirror and googled all my symptoms and looked at all the pics of different skin conditions and it was shingles so i went back to the doc and told him i thought it was shingles and not poison ivy and he agreed and put me on antibiotics but by that day i had lost over half an inch of muscle in my chest , arm pit and back . It was so stinking and rotting flesh and it took over one year for the skin to heal and after three years i still have sores and break out with shingles in the same spot every two months. After taking oxycontin and every othe narcotic i heard that people in europe were using suboxone on nerve damage and your body wouldnt get used to the dosage and you would not need to ever increase so i started on it and tbe first year helped a lot since i was in constant pain from the nerve damage from shingles but the last year i find mysel forgetting conversations i just had five min ago, i see text i made to people and cannot remember ever sending them and i reply to questions on facebook and ill go back later and answer the question again not realizing i answered it earlier that day. I dont think the drugs suboxone and lyrica are doing anything at this point because im in pain and if i skip my morning dose of both drugs the pain doesnt get worse even after eight hours and when i do take them i still have the same pain. Also in january i have to pay 100% for like six months and between lyrica ,suboxone, and nuvigil its about 1500 $ per month and another 250$ amonth for doc visit i dont have a choice plus im not living im really depressed and just barely exhisting i cant wait till im off and i can start back at the gym getting back to my old self , i hope this helps you or someone you know this drug is harder than narcotics to kick so dont believe people when they say otherwise.
I know you posted this a long time ago, but if you haven't switched, I would not recommend it. I did and it is awful. I was down to between 2 to 4 mgs of suboxone a day. My ins stopped paying for them so 3 weeks ago my doc switched me to zubsolv, telling me that it's the same even better. He said stronger and easier to get off of. I got 30 5.7 tabs and was suppose to break them in half to be taking the equivalent amount of subs I was taking. I did that for 2 days and went into full withdraw. I'm now taking 11/2 a day and still mild symptoms. I'm actually going to the doctor today to get switched back to the subs. Ins will not pay for either one. I can stretch 30 8mg suboxone out for well over 2 months and this zubsolv will cost me a lot more with the amount I'm having to take. Good Luck !!!
Don't switch! I'm going to beg my ins to switch my back to suboxone.
I switched from suboxone to zubsolv and it works but i preferred the suboxone because i could cut the strips in half for during the day when i have to work and i can take the full dose at night so i can sleep well without the pain. The zubsolv pills are small and very hard and the explode if you try to cut them in half.
I' switched 3 weeks ago for the same reason. It was terrible for me. I had to take 3 x the dose I was suppose to take. I'm going back on subs today! I don not recommend at all!! Good Luck & I hope everything works out for you :)
Praying for you brother! A lot of times that's ALL THAT WORKS!!!
Your right subs are bad comin off just as bad if not worse than full opiates, like oxy, hydros, but if your taking 40 or 50 vicodin a day it's the lesser of the two evils, it saved my life.
Yes. I was on 8mg 2x a day sub films for almost 2 years until my insurance Humana wouldn't pay for the sub films any longer and would only paid for zubsolv, I was terrified to switch and thought it wasn't gonna be good enough and in fear of side effects....BUT I was 100% wrong. I love zubsolv! I think it's much stronger, last longer and taste better. When I first began zubsolv though the first couple days I would get a little hint of a headache, nothing painful or bad just a little tension for a short time and then went away. Please remember each person is different and may not effect you as it did me.
Do u have to wait for withdrawal if ur switching from suboxin 8 to zubsolv 5.7?
No. I have been decreasing myself slowly, 5.7 mg. Better BioAvailability, everyone's different, however I got myself down to 0.65, granted I am willing to take anything this second because my head is worse then anything. I'm over 30hrs now and kinda optomistic.
I was on Norco 10 for 5yrs and tried cold turkey. I thought I was going to die. I went to my Dr and he gave me zubsolv pills u put under ur tongue to dissolve. It worked great. Might look into that now. If u go to Walgreen or CVS they will order it and it will be there the next morning if they don't already have it.
I'm 225 lbs, 6ft. I took 1/4 of 5.7 zubsolv at 6am. How long does it stay in your body for?
Yes I switched and I like it a lot better!! Do you have ins?? I'm not so sure that it is cheaper but they do have programs. You can get 2 discount cards but only 2 a lifetime from Needy meds I think and it is good for 15 free. They also have a program through needy meds to pay for your script if you qualify but each dr is only allowed one patient on the program at a time. There may be more places or things in your area. There is one more card. It is from the manufacturer and it will say up to $255 off or $2.50 a pill. If you have ins. It sometimes covers all the rest. In my case. Nope only $2.50 a pill and Im having trouble finding the best/cheapest pharmacy. But yes I liked them sooooo much better. But I'm looking to get off all together.
I love it. So much better. I do not know where you are from but there are wonderful programs! I don't pay a penny. I'm almost done though. I ready to be done! Good luck to you.
I switched from 8ng suboxone to 11.6mg of zubsolv an i still have bad cravings... Good luck
Re: Doctor Don (# 9)
Thanks for sharing a positive note on Zubsol. I've been on everything from Methadone to Suboxone, Oxycodone, Hydrocodone, Subutex and now just switched to Zubsol. I'm a recovered alcoholic and addict for almost 9 years and an addictions counselor for the past 5 years. I used to abuse all of the old opiates, Oxycodone, Demerol, Hydrocodone etc..., but haven't abused anything I've been prescribed for over 8 years. I am unable to work without some type of pain management due to severe degenerative disc disease, trauma to my entire spine, including fractured C-4 in my neck, Triple laminectomy from L4-S1, that is now ruptured Again due to a car accident 9/17. The past 3 years I've been prescribed between 8 and 16 mg of generic Subutex and it has worked well for pain management. I had to switch this past week to Zubsol, because it's the only drug my insurance company will now pay for and I don't want to risk relapse by taking opiates that "make me feel high"! That said, my doctor started me on 1 1/2 5.7 mg Zubsol per day, tablets. I did some research and found out that this dose is equivalent to 12 mg of buprenorphine. HOWEVER, due to the addition of naloxone, the efficacy of the buprenorphine is reduced. Also, the drug is supposed to last 24 hours. I have noticed that I start feeling more pain and lack of energy after about 8-10 hours. My doctor is going to increase my dose to 11.2 mg of Zubsol, which, is supposed to have about 16 mg of buprenorphine in it. My question is, will the higher dose of buprenorphine also increase the length of time I get relief from pain or will it simply provide more pain relief and still start wearing off 8-10 hours later?
Yeah. I have been on Bupe since 1998. First Buprenex shots, Then Suboxone pills, then strips, then generic bupe pills w/Naloxone, back to strips and now week 1 on ZubSolv. They work great. I went from 16mg per day to 1/6th of a strip. Doing that I made 60 strips last me from 11/25/14 to 2/03/2015. Hoo Rah!
Now my insurance is paying for the new pills. Supposed to take 2 per day but they seem really strong. Prolly just my lowered tolerance. They get me feeling pretty buzzed which I don't like. As long as they keep me well, not sick, I think they are great. Really a better way to go, higher Bioavailability, convenient too. I dissolved 5-6 days worth with just one strip. Got dope sick at first, but worked thru it. I will prolly try these dissolved eventually. Will be able to stockpile 2-3 years worth pretty quick. Later.
I have and love it.. Works great.. The mint taste goes away quickly..
It is the same, just under a different formulation and brand name, so it should work the same.
This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
Is there a big price difference?
