Stugeron Expiration

I need to know how long Stugeron is good after the expiration date on the front has passed. I have a pack here that says "exp 2 2013". I'm traveling soon so I would like to know if these pills will still work for me or not.

Not all expired medications are bad, but I think it's good that you took the time out to check first since some can be dangerous (i.e. tetracycline). According to a drug monograph I read, Stugeron has an estimated shelf life of 3 years. I also found out that it does not require any special storage conditions like most other meds do. So you should be fine to take it until 2016 based on that info alone.

I don't know if at what point it can begin to diminish potency, however other drug studies by Harvard University suggest that many medications can remain effective for up to 10 or 15 past the expiration date.
