Strongest 30 Mg Oxycodone - Kvk Vs Mallinckrodt Vs Rhodes (Page 7)

Hi All,

I experience pretty severe neuropathic pain due to a spinal injury. I have a Baclofen pump which also contains hydromorphone but still get a lot of breakthrough pain. I've been taking oxycodone for 8ish yrs. and the pills I was prescribed those first few yrs. did a good job at treating the pain. I've had to change pharmacies and notice lately the oxycodone 30s I've been given lately do little or NOTHING! Especially the Mallinckrodt!

My doc prescribed 3 30mg pills a day but I had to munch 5 of the Mallinckrodts in a 4 hour period and still got barely any relief. I was worried I'd get constipated big time after taking that many pills several days in a row but I didn't (because they're so damn weak!) I don't know the mfg. of the oxys I was taking yrs ago but it may have been Actavis or KVK Tech. (although KVKs I was prescribed last mo. weren't much better than the Mallinckrodt).

My question is what brand do y'all think is the strongest 30mg oxycodone? My pharmacy has the KVK but I talked to another that carries Rhodes, are those any better? Thanks for any info!

Activis are the ones I get now and they do a good job.

Kvk seems to work best. I've never been able to buy the name brand.. I don't have that kind of cash and insurance won't cover it but I've tried all the other 30. I believe even the kvks I get now have been remanufactured. They're not like the kvk I got 3 years ago. It's a b**** I know. Nobody cares about us who suffer with pain.

Amneal to me is horrible very weak and no pain relief and didn't work for me at all and instead gave me a headache.

This is 4 years later and i'm sure we wont connect but wanted to say excellent write up. Its is criminal what these politicians have gotten away with. I suffer like so many. When I had pain meds that were normal I was able to function daily, now I'm lucky if I function 2 to 3 days. My 4 and 2 yr old grandchildren will never get the grammy they could've had and it breaks my heart. You know what's infuriating though, is if one of those responsible for the hell we live got our conditions, they'd see to it they were covered with proper relief!! Honestly I don't know how much longer I can live like this but I try for the little ones, but its brutal and also so unnecessary.

It boils down to power n greed. A politician can put us on paper and seek votes, see, look here, I made Drs stop giving out pain meds and manufacturers take out most the actual med so vote for me. The whole time the b****rd knows that chronic pain patients are not the issue etc. Infuriating!!! However it doesn't seem to matter, we still suffer locked in our houses and treated like criminals when we have to jump through the hoops for " treatments" at Drs and pharmacy.

Just get the prescription as Oxycodone without the 325 mg of Tylenol. Those are Percocet and Tylenol is horrible for your liver, does Nothing for inflammation.
Then use either aspirin or ibuprofen moderately since those medications do reduce inflammation.
Unfortunately I went through a telephone pole 29 years ago. I hate pain medication but otherwise I can't move. You might find you require less Oxy. My Doctors have me use muscle relaxers as needed, I get spasms. Helps me sleep at night too. Good luck

I just picked up a prescription of Oxycodone by Mallinckrodt from Walgreen's and I get another prescription filed at Walgreen's by Actavis. I have to ask that they order through these manufactures.

In all honesty, generics that are being sold are useless no matter what anyone say.s 10 years ago 3 x 10mg was plenty. Now you can take a higher dose and get next to no relief. I believe there is a concerted effort by DEA and FDA to allow foreign manufacturers to sell bogus drugs. It can’t be we are ALL WRONG!!!!

I believe Mal and Croft morphine sulfate 30 it's better than roads by at least 50% but today Walgreens Danny roads they didn't automatic route and I nowhere near as strong as one it's like taking half of a pill so don't have 15 mg instead of 30 departure No Doubt

Please be careful with the manufacturer MALLINKRODT a lot of people including myself has had bad side effects from the Hydrocodone and the Adderall they make

If your doctor can sign off on it please get the extended release pain medication pure medicine no filler it comes in 12/24 hour 1-2 per day pending which one you choose. Plus less pills to take and all day relief. Because it may say 10/325 example but how much 10mg are you really getting. I remember DAR-covets gave me 90 pills back in the day and 1 pill would have me going for 2 days. But of course they took it off market now with theses new opioids we have addiction. There was no addiction on DarVocets.

I actually refuse to take them, the 10 mg oxycodone made by Mallinckrodts, the KVKs are fine (in 2023) but those Mallinckrodts are extra large because they now have an abuse deterrent in them.
The way my prescription is written I take 3 1/2 a day, and on the days that I did that I had such terrible stomach pain and my butt hole burned when I pooped the next day. And I know it was from this medication because I did an experiment where I only took three whole ones a couple days and didn’t break any in half, I didn’t get the burning or the stomach pain. Then I would break them in half again to do the whole 3 1/2 for the day and the Pain would come right back. The Pharmacy orders Rhodes for me now. I see people were complaining about that one a few years ago but it seems fine to me.
