Stopped Lo Loestrin Fe Mid Pack On First Pack
UpdatedMy gyno prescribed me Lo Loestrin Fe for my bad cramps and somewhat irregular periods. I reacted badly to my old birth control (made me a suicidal maniac and also made me puke every day), so he decided to have me give this a try. Well I decided to stop about 3/4 through the first pack, because I developed a very bad URI, which I suspected came from the pill after looking it up. I also was bleeding every day. They day after I stopped taking the pill, I got my period. At least I think it was. I bled for about 7 to 8 days. I ended my period on February 23rd. Here it is, April 8th, and I STILL haven't gotten my period. I normally get them every 4 weeks or so. I took 3 pregnancy tests, and all came back negative. Would it be possible to skip a period even after not even completing a full pack? Also, i've been cramping for awhile. And feeling pukish.

Well yes, they are hormonal based contraceptives, so they can throw you off. The spotting while you're taking them is completely normal and so is being off once you stop, even if it was just for a short period of time.
However, what I am curious about is the fact that you say there were somewhat irregular and then say you normally have a cycle every 4 weeks, which really makes no sense. You can't have both occurring.
What I'd suggest is that you go back to your doctor and talk to them about the symptoms you were having, as well as your concerns. That way you can make an informed decision on whether or not taking oral contraceptives is best for you.
From the bad cramping and irregular periods that you mentioned, it may not be the best decision.
While many people aren't aware of it, such symptoms are usually caused by a woman having too much estrogen in her body and not enough progesterone. The pill actually adds both, which can just keep throwing you off.
It may be better for you to just supplement your progesterone, you may not need the estrogen, at all.
Just to find out for sure, you may want to ask your doctor to actually test your hormone levels using a saliva test, since it's far more reliable than a blood test and it should be done several times throughout the month to get an accurate picture.
