Stop Period Tablets In 5 Days

having a procedure on cervix in 7 days doctor prescribed norimin-1 does anyone know if its going to stop my period which is to happen in 3 to 5 days thanks

Hi Terry,

Are you wondering if the procedure is going to effect your menstrual cycle? If so, would you be comfortable letting me know the name of the procedure? Without that information, I can only make guesses, and that won't really help me to answer your question as accurately as I would like. - When it comes to the Norimin, I imagine you should just continue taking the pills as recommended by your doctor. If you have any complications, I would give him/her a call since only they can safely instruct you on what to do!

Now, back to the topic of your procedure- I did read about a procedure referred to as LEEP (The Loop Electrocautery Excision Procedure ); which is used to diagnose (find out what is the abnormality) and to treat (remove) most abnormal tissue problems on the outer and inner cervix, vagina and vulva.

According to advancedobgynassociates.com, "You may experience some vaginal bleeding over the next few days (after the LEEP procedure), but many women will spot for 1-5 weeks, and resume their normal menstrual cycles after that. If you do start to bleed, remember that your menstrual period may, in fact, be occurring -- consider the time of month and whether you might actually be due to begin your regular menstruation. Your period may also come slightly early or slightly late this month. If you are taking oral contraceptives, do not interrupt the cycle. Continue taking the pills as you have been instructed."
