Still Getting My Period
UpdatedHi, I've been on minastrin fe for 5 months now and I'm still getting my period every month during the brown pills and it is heavy and painful. Shouldn't my period have stopped by now or is my body still getting used to the hormones?

Hello, Kim! How are you?
Not every woman stops having periods, while taking oral contraceptives, so that may not change. Some women do, but really you are supposed to continue having your period during the placebo week.
The FDA lists the typical side effects of oral contraceptives as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability and PMS-like symptoms.
Is there anything else I can help with?
