Starting Off On Keppra

I have just been put on keppra 1000mg twice daily. I took my first dose yesterday and felt very confused, unsteady on my feet. Is that normal? Should I take a lower dose when starting off, perhaps 500mg and work my way up to the higher dose or Gould I just wait it out and hope that the symptoms reduce?

Keppra contains the active ingredient Levetircetam, which is an anticonvulsant. Yes, those types of side effects are common from taking it and they should start to taper off in a few weeks, once your body starts to get used to the medication. If they don't, or if they get too severe, then please consult your doctor.
