Started Taking Turmeric (curcumin) And I'm Allergic To Penicillin

I started taking turmeric (curcumin) for inflammation and I'm allergic to penicillin. Can I take the turmeric (curcumin)?

They are not related, but it is always best to be cautious when you start taking anything new, especially over the counter supplements, since they are not usually tested for interactions, or contraindications with most prescription medications, and various health conditions.

You should also be aware that Turmeric is not FDA approved to treat any condition, nor have any studies proven it effective. The best I can tell you is that it tastes great, when I cook with it, although it does have a habit of staining some plasticware, such as my steamer baskets. LOL

It also makes a great substitute with other spices, if you can't afford Saffron, or just don't want to pay the expensive price for it, because it is NOT cheap, Turmeric is much cheaper and easier to obtain.
