Started Chantix - Questions
UpdatedI bought the first doses about ten months ago, but didn't start treatment at that time. I finally started the treatment about a week and a half ago.
I don't seem to experience as much of the side effects as others. Does anyone know if Chantix looses it's zip after that period of time?
I don't think I've been having wild dreams, but I did notice I remember them better for the most part, so they seem more frequent. Dreams are wierd anyway, so I don't necessarily think Chantix has made mine any more strange. I don't seem to suffer from loss of sleep yet, although I don't sleep as much as most people anyway.
I can feel that I am on a drug when I'm taking it. I don't eat breakfast, so I take the pill with about 4 to 6 oz. of milk in the morning. I feel a little gas or something after that, but no big discomfort doing it that way and that feeling goes away after about ten minutes.
Lastly, after about a week I did start to notice that the smoke from a cigarette burning in the tray would annoy me more than usual; almost like after I'd quit for a year. Yeah, I quit for three years once and had a bad day.
Anyway, I have not experienced any disgust for cigarettes yet. I still smoke like a chimney. Since I don't feel the side-effects much, I'll keep taking it. I wonder though when I buy the next batch; if I'll get hammered by the fresh stuff. :-)
