I'm on NovoBetahistine for my "Vertigo".I had to stop taking this medication while my doctor had the section 8 paper approved,it has been almost 3 months since I had this medicine.Now I am getting severe headaches,and I was wondering if me stopping this med without weaning myself off it would cause these as a side effect

Based on my research, headaches can be are a rare but serious side effect of Betahistine. The prescribing information states that you should contact your doctor if you experience these side effects and they are either severe or bothersome.

It sounds to me like there could be some sort of withdrawal-like symptoms going on, but at the same time I'm not finding any specific details verifying whether or not Betahistine actually causes withdrawal symptoms.

Have you been using anything to help manage these headaches in the meantime?
