Sprintec Pregnancy Concerns

I have been taking trial sprintec for over a yr and I want to be intimate with my boyfriend for the first time but I'm worried about the risk of getting pregnant. Are there a lot of pregnancy scares with this pill? Because I can't take any chances. Please answer.

If you have been taking them daily, without missing any pills, as you should, then they have no higher of a failure rate than any other oral contraceptive on the market, which is less than 1%.

I'm been taking sprintec for about a month now finished one pack and got my period only a day late but on schedule 1/25/12. Then i missed 3 pills back to back due to the pharmacy not having my prescription in stock now i'm on my period 2/9/12 like two weeks early. What's happening?
