Sprintec Start Date Help
UpdatedI just got prescribed sprintec. I just ended my period 5 days ago. Can I start it now? My doctor asked if I could wait until the end of next period but if not make sure to have a backup birth control method. So can I start today?

Hello, Lindsey! How are you?
As long as your doctor approves, you can start any time, but you will need to take them for a full 7 days, before they will reach their full level of efficacy in your body to prevent pregnancy.
The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, spotting and PMS-like symptoms.
Is there anything else I can help with?
