Hey people m 24 yr guy started takin from past 4 yrs i started takin 5 tablets a day nw i stand to minimum 25 tabs a day , i work in the night in press some times in the middle of the work wht ever the time it will be midnight and i wanna hav tab though i don have in my pocket i foun thrs a 24 hrs medical near my off ill go thr n take 6 tab at a same time , i really wanna quit coz the one f***in b**** thougt me sh is no more coz she used to take minimum 40 tabs a day , i fell m counting my days ,the only reason i got into tis f***in drug just scary abt my dad cxz i was bozzing and every time i go midnight i got caught wit my dad coz i was stinking , tis came in to my life so tat not even doctor can identify tat i had tabs , plz quit tis guys :) take my situation plz quit i beg u people

I take this S.P 4 about one and half years. I took 8 or 9 pills in the morning when i wake up and again i took 7 or 8 pills evening in the very same day, so i took 16 to 18 pills a day, i can't stop taking this pills i try many times but i can't i'm really addicted, sometime i have problems in breading and i can't see thing clearly and cannot read anything and i forget what I'm saying what i'm doing cannot concentrate anything and my hand start shaking and i don have any strength, 2 or 3 times i just collapse on the ground and cannot move my body because i think i don't have any strength i know i have to stop taking this Pills but i'm still taking this Pills and also i take this slipping pills Alprazolam 0.5 mg my body is getting weaker and weaker i really cannot stop taking this pills, i'm 26 years old.I think i'm close to dead is there anybody out there can help me

There's a good drug rehab center outside of Dehradun Called Zhidey Kansar - they specialize in working with young men struggling with addiction and have lots of experience with SP. They are using medications that reduce side effects significantly, but I'm not sure what those medications are.

WHAT THE F,,.. i m taking pilss from last 5 years n i m healthy,, just eat well.. i know after taking pills you dont feel like eatimg anything but eat as you do normal..take LIV 52 DS good for liver and revital..drink juice..do exercise// SPASMO ROCKS

propoxypane/ dicycloverine, like i mentioned in my original post, has two aspects of drug-dependence, a psychological aspect, and a physical aspect.
Lets try and see what these mean, shall we?
We'd need to understand the working of a human brain in order to understand these effects better. The brain has an internal mechanism of rewarding an individual. When a child plays a video game, he feels happy. When a scholar scores a 90% in a university semester, he feels happy. When married couples make love, they feel happy. When you watch india win the world cup, you feel happy. What exactly is happiness? Poets might tell you that happiness is a feeling that cannot be put into words, but in reality, happiness is a result of distinct brain activities. Scoring a 90%, making love, playing a video game, chatting with an old friend, whatever you can think of that makes you happy, is making you happy because it's altering brain chemistry. The mesolimbic pathway is one of the dopaminergic pathways in the brain. The pathway begins in the ventral tegmental area of the midbrain and connects to the limbic system via the nucleus accumbens, the amygdala, and the hippocampus as well as to the medial prefrontal cortex. The mesolimbic dopamine system is widely believed to be a "reward" pathway. Propoxyphane interferes with this pathway and bombards the brain with excessive amounts of a chemical called “DOPAMINEâ€. Dopamine makes the drug abuser feel extremely happy. It's worth mentioning that a child playing a video game finds the experience pleasing because playing video games trigger the same pathway and produces dopamine in the child's brain naturally. Propoxyphane does the same thing, but artificially. If the child plays video games over and over again, he gets addicted to the game. In reality, it's not the game that he wants to play, he actually likes the feeling of happiness that dopamine (which is naturally produced by the brain when he plays the game) gives him. He is in fact addicted to dopamine. He doesn't know what dopamine is, or how the brain works, he just thinks that playing the video game will make him happy. If he indulges into video games too much, he becomes a video game addict. In reality, he has become a dopamine addict. The same is true for almost every addiction you can think of, and every enjoyable activity you can imagine-- from eating chocolates, to making love, to consuming alcohol, and even smoking a cigarette... everything that makes you happy, does so because it increases dopamine production in brain.
As in the above example of the video game playing child, the video game is irrelevant, its the dopamine in his brain that makes him want to play the game again and again. This same thing applies to your husband, spasmo proxyvon is irrelevant, its the dopamine that spasmo proxyvon produces in the brain, that makes him feel euphoric and makes him crave the drug. He doesnt know what's going on in his brain, he doesn't know what's the mesolimbic pathway, he probably doesn't even know what's dopamine. All he knows is that spasmo proxyvon will make him feel happy.THIS IS PSYCHOLOGICAL ADDICTION. And the best way to reduce psychological addiction is to find alternative ways to increase brain dopamine levels. Ask him to develop a hobby, spend a lot of time chatting with him, take him on a vacation to some hill station, play a multiplayer videogame with him, watch thrilling movies, go white water rafting, skydiving, bungee-jumping, whatever it takes to get him thrilled. This will increase brain dopamine levels moderately, and over time he will not feel as low as he initially did after quitting propoxyphane. Keep this in mind, its not propoxyphane itself that makes him crave for spasmo proxyvon, its the effect propoxyphane has on the brain, which is to increase dopamine levels. If you can find another way to increase dopamine levels in the brain, he won't crave the drug.
Propoxyphane increases brain dopamine levels to abnormally high, something the above mentioned natural activities could never do. With such high levels of sopamine in the brain, the person feels extremely euphoric and happy when he's on the drug. The brain senses that something is wrong; the brain is not designed to handle such abnormally high levels of dopamine. And hence it tries to find ways to deal with the situation. What exactly happens then? DOWNREGULATION OF DOPAMINE RECEPTORS. The brain reduces its sensitivity towards dopamine. This is quite evident in drug abusers. If 5 tabs give you a "kick" today, and if you keep taking 5 tabs everyday for a month, then on the next month 5 tabs won't give you as high a "kick" as it used to do previously. The tabs are doing their job, they are producing extremely high levels of dopamine in your brain even after a month of continuous use, but due to DOWNREGULATION of dopamine receptors in brain, these abnormally high levels of dopamine now appear to be normal to the brain, and doesn't cause euphoria. The brain has learned to cope with absurd levels of dopamine. The addict now increases his dose, and the levels of dopamine in brain are again increased even more, the brain isn't used to take this even higher dose of dopamine, and hence the addict feels euphoric again. This cycle continues, and the druggy keeps on increasing his dosage, and ends up consuming 25 tablets a day, which is ridiculous to anyone who is not mad and not an addict. Now lets say he quits. The brain dopamine levels come down to natural levels in about 24 hours. But the brain has now trained itself to deal with extreme high dopamine all the time (due to downregulation of receptors as stated above). This natural level of dopamine is too low for the addicted brain. Dopamine is responsible for making you happy. Since dopamine is level is low now, the brain feels something is missing, and the druggy feels depressed and sad. Naturally enjoyable activities like eating a chocolate or watching a movie will never produce the amount of dopamine in brain that propoxyphane would produce. Hence your husband would find movies and chocolates and everything fun, to be plain and simply
b-o-r-i-n-g.
But here's the good news, like DOWNREGULATION, there's another phenomenon called UPREGULATION.
In course of time, the brain will realize that the levels of dopamine is excessively low. It will then start to "upregulate" dopamine receptors. Once this process completes, and dopamine receptors return to their natural levels, natural amounts of dopamine would trigger a reward sensation again, and movies and music and chocolates and naturally entertaining things will become enjoyable again. This is the point where you can call your husband "drug free", his drug dependence would be gone.
This process of upregulation of domapine receptors will take time. And chances are that the addict will feel so low that he'll either get suicidal, or relapse to drug use again, or have serious family problems before upregulation ever gets a chance to completes. This is why you need to take him to a rehab centre if you think you cannot do this alone.
SHORT ANSWER TO YOUR QUESTION: YES IT IS POSSIBLE TO "give up SP and still be confident, optimistic and happy without it", BUT IT IS GOING TO BE DIFFICULT FOR HIM AND FOR YOU. He needs strong will power, and you need to understand everything i wrote above, that'll help you cope with the difficulties you're about to face with him when he's gonna be detoxing. There's a drug called Addnock that you can take for about 10 days that helps you come down off SP gradually. You can also quit SP by taking a couple less pills each day, supplementing for pain with paracetamol, eating good meals and drinking plenty of water. But Addnock helps a lot if you use it properly. Go to your doctor and ask about it.

P.S. The medicine is Addnock, used for about 10 days maximum, in order to lessen withdrawal symptoms.

see one can quit sp if he has a strong will power. Actually Sp doesn't not have any strong side effects that can be felt in a short period but it has a very bad effects in a lung run. You may end up with your damaged liver or dangerous sores in ur throat. hence to quit Sp is to ignore it. Don't go for taping or something else. Just stop taking it. Make in ur mind that you will never take that bloody thing again. Think many bad things happened after taking that. I know it feels very good after taking that i m also an addict of it but i do control. You know if it is too hard to quit then reduce your dose. See the morning dose is the most effective and strong one. So start with 3 in the morning and take 2 after 4 hrs and take 2 before u go to bed. See i am not a doctor or any physician. I am saying out of my experience. This way you will be taking 7 per day which i think is the utmost that we addict can do. But keep in ur mind if u r taking this capsule or any other tab or drugs then please do eat well. Drink water as much as u can. The more you eat the less u get sick.. ok guys tell me anything you want to know about it. I am here to share my experiences. Have a pleasant and happy life. Quit spasmo and make ur life heaven....Take care...

Hi guys... I read all of ur comments and i can feel exactly what u feeling now. I used to be an extreme addict of Spasmo Proxyvon [SP]. I continuously used SP for 7 years, all day even if I was sick or I was writing my final exams. I used to but 2-3 strips a day that’s 24 capsules a day, after having SP I feels like I’m the center point of the sport light also feels very much happy by myself. It also gives confidence to talk mood to watch movies and to extreme pleasure when my girl friend do BJ to me. The effect and fun of SP is even higher when its swallowed in empty stomach and back with tea or black tea. I did this for years without having proper breakfasts and trust me this is going to FK your life one day. Now I’m 27 and its been around 1 and a half years since I left the habit of consumption of SP. Thank god for that I got a job in middle east and I never enquired about SP here in UAE. The first month soon after I quit was really horrible, I didn’t slept for days and always my mind goes in negative way, thoughts was kind of looser style.

But I’m proud to say now that I’m recovered, it doesn’t means that I’m not going to touch the blue pill again. When I visited India on my last vacation I had SP for one week around 5 capsules a day. But I will never ever will become a regular user, it took a real hard time to get rid of it. Now I’m to normal. So guys don’t ever think that you can’t survive if u quit SP after using it for a very long span of time. I also thought the same before but impossible is nothing. U will face sleepless and achy nights but it will definitely bring u a better tomorrow, trust me and I promise you on that.

I hear you buddy. i was takig about 25 tabs a day. I know what you are going through. I will tell you that you can quit. I quit it one fine day and never looked back. It will be hard for 2-3 days. your legs will feel like jellly and you will not be able to sleep well. But fight through it. Also remember-get buzy. keep doing things you like other than spasmos. Also remember to avoid going near the medical stores that you buy spasmos from. I had 12 shops all over town. I changed my routes of travel to make sure I never went anywhere near them. this is important. The addiction is hard to quit if you have easy access. You have to quit at once. This reducing business will not work. Pain for 3 days and the rest of your life is beautiful. Do it.

My mother is 83 yr old and has stones in kidney and gallblader, dr said operation in this age is riskey, dr prescribed S. proxyvon and she fel t better for 3 years.

last week she had an attack and we went to another dr
who has stopped SP and than my mother felt the pain like hell, i could not see that went to the old dr who has given SP again and now she is feeling better. I have no choice but to give her SP, as in this way she is feeling less pain.
