South Georgia Pain Management Still Open For Buisness (Page 6)

Need a pain dr. in south Georgia ASAP. Needing a doctor that can prescribe sufficient amounts of pain medication so that I can function. I have a lot of back problems compounded by fibromyalgia and so on.

I need a new pain doctor in the Athens-Clarke County area. I have been in the same pain clinic for over 2 years. For 1st year I was quickly moved up between alot of medicine. I landed on roxy 15. For a while I was on roxy 15 and oxycontin 20s, but the owner didn't like that and has since moved me back to just the 15s. Now i've been on 15mg roxy 4x a day for over a year and has gotten to the point it's doing little to nothing for my pain but doctors won't up me.. I am looking for a very understanding, laid-back, people friendly pain clinic in hopes to get switched or upped to something that will help my back pain more than I currently am. If anyone knows any good, chill\relaxed doctors please reply and let me know. Thanks

Dear OKCGIRL,

It is quite obvious that you have no flipping clue what REAL pain is. Imagine if you will you get a headache EVERYDAY and you take an aspirin to alleviate the pain. Now imagine that this goes on for 10-15 years and then all of a sudden the establishment tells you that aspirin wont help make your headaches go away, it was all in your head from the beginning. And so they remove aspirin from the shelves of all the stores. But now you get your headache EVERYDAY however now the pain is 10 times worse because your body got used to the aspirin and your body is telling you that it will keep the disorienting pain coming day and night until it gets that aspirin. SOOOOO, what are you going to do???

I use the headache analogy because many can relate to that. But if I use the story of debilitating chronic back pain,along with a host of other illnesses people like you just make the statement "Pfft, your just a junkie looking for a fix.". Well let me tell you one thing, first if all I wouldn't wish this kind of pain on my worst enemy, hello wouldn't even wish this kinda pain on even you for even a single day, because you have absolutely no flipping idea what your talking about. I realize you may find this hard to believe but not everyone out there is a junkie. We are lawyers, construction workers. Grocery store mgrs, hair dressers, computer geeks, teachers, etc, etc,etc. But you had better get down on your knees and thank God above that your body is in such great health and ask Him to help you to always keep it so. There is an old saying that you never really know someone until you've walked a few miles in his moccasins. Might I suggest you go to a pain Dr and see if his patients would let you shadow them for a few days, perhaps then you might have a greater appreciation and maybe even some sympathy and REAL UNDERSTANDING of what WE CHRONIC PAIN PATIENTS ACTUALLY GO THROUGH.

Hey Big E,

I hope you're still checking this website. I saw on your message that you moved to GA from NC. I just moved to SC and cannot find a Dr that will prescribe my pain meds without wanting to do all the injections again. (I did that for years and it doesn't help anymore.) Just a way to make money! I am willing to drive. Would you please give me the name of the Dr you went to? I appreciate any help anyone can give. Living with pain is not living at all.

Any info would be great.

As you know looking for a good family doc or a pain clinic can be hard. I am only using around 50-60 mg of Morphine a day. Along with other non controlled meds.

So that is still an okay dosage. But I am new. So getting set up is difficult.

My Dr. quit writing oxycodone 30mg... I've been seeing him 7 years. He quit writing it period...not just me. If anyone has a good doctor's name in Georgia please let me know. I am a cash paying patient.

I have bone on bone pain and awaiting surgery DO NOT GO TO SONNY DOSANJI in kennesaw or buckhead he kept wanting to give me a steroid injection which I've had Cheryl I don't do them anymore I just wanted something for pain the argument got heated I caught him in a lie and he told me to get the f*** out of his office three or four times and then proceeded to walk me to the door

Hi, I had a very good pain dr in north Georgia and a great relationship with the entire clinic for 2 yrs but I seen his NP and told I needed my meds adjusted Bc the dose I been taking wasn't helping so I took 3 a day instead of 2, so I was dropped immediately! But they had no choice, I didn't read that contract good and it was the first clinic I had ever went to and I loved them all and he was my friend. I will never get over how I messed up and I never failed or did anything else wrong except tell the truth, but I wish I'd waited to see my dr before I seen that new NP, then I wouldn't be in a mess, but anyways I was wondering who you found in Georgia? I'm in north ga and this is all new but I can recommend the dr I had if you need the best and he cares and doesn't just push pills down you. I will miss him! A dr I learned looses their job and reputation if you don't follow rules and I didn't realize how strict they were until this happened! But all I can do now is learn to follow rules no matter how bad I hurt! My question to you is do you know of one near me or Chattanooga that is forgiving? And my records will show that's my only mistake I made, but I would recommend the place that released me to anyone. I can't blame them for my stupidity! But I now need another and it's so humiliating I let this happen over not reading!

Even after I moved to GA I would drive once a month to NC to see him. After being with my PCP for 32+ yrs he retired leaving me in a quandary. He sold his part of the practice and now NONE of the Drs there will write pain meds. The dea is REALLY cracking down. Sorry, I wish I could help. I'm still looking for a Dr down here. Good luck.

CPS pain clinics and Hamilton spine health . There's a lot located in Georgia and after I researched it wasn't hard at all to get in one . Just gather up your records and start calling around . Chattanooga has good ones to in different locations .
