Sotalol 80mg Light Blue Long Tablet Teva #9361x2daily

is there a safer alternative other than sotalol? i've been diagnosed with a-fib. I'm taking sotalol 80mg tablets teva.

Sotalol is a drug used in individuals with rhythm disturbances (cardiac arrhythmias) of the heart, and to treat hypertension in some individuals.

If I were to suggest some other alternative means of treatment, it would likely be more in line with a natural approach, including but not limited to the following:

-eating a diet that is rich in fresh raw fruits and vegetables (juicing them is an excellent way to take in more than you'd typically eat in a sitting)
-light physical exercise daily (yoga, stretching, rebounding, power walking, swimming, etc)
- meditation (it has been proven that people who meditate often can eventually control their heart rate with their thoughts and intentions)
- drinking plenty of "alkaline" water
- applying various essential oils or herbs
- acupuncture

Unfortunately, most MD's probably wouldn't recommend any of these, since they are so used to just handing out a pill and saying "here you go, and good luck!". But I'd encourage you to do some additional research on any of those options in the meantime. Eating right and exercising daily in some way, are the biggest factors in my honest opinion, so that may be something to start with if you're not doing so already.
